If you were going to give a gift to a very important person, would you give them your leftovers or your best? Would you dig through your closet or go to the thrift shop and get the cheapest thing you could find? How would you like it if your family shopped for you that way? Pastor Ron challenges you in today’s message, to think about if you’ve been treating the Lord that way. Is He your highest priority in life, or does He get whatever’s left over? Are you giving Him your best or just whatever’s convenient?

Have you ever heard someone play music that, perhaps they played it accurately, but they were missing something? They didn’t “get” the music. They could play the notes on the page, but the way they played the song was lacking something. In today’s message, Pastor Ron reminds you that as a believer in Jesus, the way you live your life should be different than those still lost in the world. They may see the notes, so to speak, but without faith in Christ, they’re missing what’s important in life.

His ways may not make sense to us at the time, but He will bring about justice.

When we read through history, sometimes we lose perspective of the lives of the people who lived through it. It’s oftentimes no different than fiction in our minds. But in reality, these were real places with real people and the stories we read about actually happened. Long after the days of Jonah, the Assyrians returned to their wickedness and God judged them for it.

When I was a child, all I wanted to do was be like one of the grown-ups. But as an adult, you realize how hard it is to do everything… alone. Is there no other way?” But then there’s God, and He loves you so much that He sent His Son to the Cross… for you! Without Jesus, you would have to deal with the penalty of your sins. Did you know there used to be a time when prayer was allowed in schools, and kids would learn to pray together? But the world has been changing for the worse. Nowadays, people will treat you poorly if you’re open about your faith in Jesus but will gladly accept you if you believe in any other religion. So, why has the world come to this? In today’s message, Pastor Ron tells you that when you keep pushing God away, He will allow you to leave. But when you approach God, He will show Himself to you. 

In the Book of John, Jesus tells the listener, “Everyone who sins is a slave to sin.” What Jesus means is that your sins are like shackles that bind and imprison you. And if you don’t know what sin is, you truly are in captivity! Jesus goes on to say that a slave has no part in a family, but a son does. In today’s message, Pastor Ron reminds you that Jesus already paid the price for your sins on the Cross. When you give your life to Jesus, He breaks the chains of your sin, and you enter His family as a son or daughter.

Around the world, many people put their faith in materialistic things. They believe in humanity or their wealth, but their riches won’t buy their salvation. In the Book of John, Jesus says, “No one comes to the Father except through me.” When you place your faith in worldly possessions, you have no salvation. But when you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have His grace. So today, Pastor Ron tells you that if you’ve been waiting for a sign to give your life to God, this is it!

Have you ever heard of the prodigal son? It’s about a man who takes his father’s inheritance and moves away. He uses the money foolishly, and when he finds himself penniless, it all goes downhill for him. After a while, he wants to come home as a hired hand in hopes that his father will accept him as a worker, but the father takes him back as his son. When you run away from God, there’s no shame in coming back home to Him. So today, Pastor Tom reminds you that God loves you and is waiting for you to return.

Have you ever been in a close-call situation where everything that should have gone wrong didn’t? People often say that someone is “lucky” or has good karma to be so fortunate. But in reality, it’s God behind the scenes. In the Bible, people like David and Moses experienced miracles when God stepped in and took things into His own hands.
