HE RESISTS
When we fail, we’re tempted to walk off the field. To “bench” ourselves and give up. But, those who care for and count on us the most don’t want us to quit. They’re aching for us to stay in the game. This book will help you spot four tactics the enemy employs to try and convince you to bow out. And, it will give you four tools you can use to fight back and win. Whether you’re a leader, parent, spouse, employee, or all of the above, the game of life is too important to abandon. Don’t bench yourself.

WHY PRAYER INTIMIDATES MOST CHRISTIAN MEN:
WHY MEN SHOULD PRAY
5 PRAYERS EVERY CHRISTIAN MAN SHOULD LEARN:
PROTECTION AND HEALING FOR FAMILY
“Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
Psalm 91:9-11
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.”
Psalm 34:19-20
“And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
James 5:15-16
RESTORATION AND REDEMPTION FOR MARRIAGE
“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:17-18
PROVISION AND FAVOR OVER RESOURCES
“For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.”
Psalm 5:12
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6
DOMINION AND AUTHORITY OVER A SPIRITUAL ENEMY
“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,”
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”
Ephesians 6:11-13
FOR WISDOM, PEACE, GRATITUDE, AND HUMILITY
“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.””
James 4:6
“Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,”
Hebrews 12:28
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
