(PART 1 OF 3)

While we take a little break to figure out what season/series 2 of Drivel is going to sound like, we figured it could be fun for you to hear what we got up to on the radio before the podcast was born.

This episode of The Late Show was broadcast live (spoiler alert for one of the gags) on Tuesday 24th July 2018 between 10pm and just after midnight. We've split into three parts so it's more Drivel length - the other two parts are also available now!

Drivel opens its doors for the very first time, to a genuine hero of ours: Iain Lee, who you may have seen on I'm a Celebrity a couple of years ago or heard on The Late Night Alternative on talkRADIO.

(It's worth noting that Iain and his producer Katherine did both have to take the night off after this show was recorded. Haunted dolls are no laughing matter.)

Nathan and his girlfriend recently enjoyed a mini break in Girona, which is about an hour outside of Barcelona. Ever the radio professional, he went armed with a mic (the one on his phone) and recorded a little travel documentary which he shares on this week's episode.

Liam's fashion sense is finally validated, Nathan premieres his latest radio demo, and there's a thorough breakdown of a recent TV programme about dogs.

A number of politicians have been 'milkshaked' in recent weeks, which has made Liam feel all nostalgic.

Liam's trousers cause more bother, Nathan enters the amazing world of bulk buying and the battle for the sexiest accent hots up with the help/hinderance of William Shakespeare.

Nathan hates Pokemon. There's a Pokemon film out. Connect the dots and you have this bonus episode of Drivel!

Liam is in crisis after losing his identity and having a fashion faux-pas at an awards do. This episode also has a response to Nathan's Avengers: Endgame review from a few weeks ago, some great advice for workplace-based pooing and shots fired at frozen vegetables.

We don't plan this show as such, but the talking points we had in mind for this episode were thrown out of the window when the subject of death emerges.

The conversation takes a fairly morbid, gruesome, reasonably specific turn. Just giving you a heads up incase you would find that upsetting.

We enjoyed making it.
