  • Video Games 2 the MAX: Wipeout Rush Announced, Eastward, GeForce Now Leaks Big Games

Something old, something new, and quite a few leaked games too. Certainly not the biggest of news weeks, but still quite a few things to discuss for Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison on Video Games 2 the MAX.

The main games for Sean are the much anticipated JRPG Tales of Arise as he’s made it to the second town in the game and is enjoying it quite a bit. He’s also been loving the indie Earthbound-inspired game Eastward. Marc got into the beta for Call of Duty Vanguard and tries out the Super Gameboy 2.

There's also some news to get to with Wipeout Rush announced, God of War ending the Norse mythology with God of War: Ragnarok. NVIDIA's GeForce Now leaking a bunch of possibly real games. Twisted Metal and Driver are getting TV shows, Battlefield 2042 delayed, and much more.

  • MnM Hockey Podcast - 2021 NHL Metro Division Preview

Alex and Chace are back for part two of their preview series. Last week, they broke down the Atlantic Division and what to expect. Now, they preview the 2021-22 Metro Division. Once again splitting the teams into tiers of rebuilding, longshot, bubble teams, and top three teams.

The 2021-22 Metro division is an interesting one. Unlike the Atlantic, there isn't a clear favourite or even a clear top few teams. The mix of teams is much more skewed towards the middle than it is high and low. Still, the guys go through each team and what they liked or disliked during the offseason. Trying to match up where they have every team and why they expect some teams to stay put or not.

As usual, they have to try and guess if this is finally the year the giants of the Metro really take a step back or not. Both Alex and Chace are nervous to make that assumption given how many times they have been burnt by it in the past.

  • Ronaldo‘s Manchester United Re-Debut Goes Well And Then Doesn‘t, Latest on USWNT Equal Pay

Discussing the re-debut of Cristiano Ronaldo for Manchester United in both Premier League action and UEFA Champions League action. How one game went so right and one went right for about 30 minutes and then horribly wrong.

Also, the United States Soccer Federation has offered identical collective bargaining agreements to both the United States Men and Women's National Teams. Going the route of revenue sharing for actual pay and aiming to get the men and women to split FIFA prize money.  Is this really a way to get equal pay? Is it actually viable at the moment?  Are the USSF trying to find the cheapest way out?

Plus, CONMEBOL now changes their mind about the biennial World Cup, while FIFPRO also weighs in on the situation too. All of this while other confederations seem to actually be ok with the idea. Plus, this also gives Sean Garmer and Erik Watkins a chance to discuss the Women's side of the equation and how this could actually benefit them.

Of course things end as always with the Supporters Club where we look at how our teams are doing.

  • MnM Hockey Podcast -2021-22 Atlantic Division Preview

Alex and Chace are back and are getting ready for a new season. Already somehow in September, the guys are starting their yearly division previews. Today, they start with a 2021-22 Atlantic Division Preview. The guys break things down into four tiers where they then rank each team in that respective tier.

Starting with the "bad", these are teams with no hope for success this year and frankly, everyone should expect to be bad. Alex and Chace both have two teams slotted here as they examine what is a very bleak outlook for one of them specifically. After, they go to the middle or bubble tier where it's teams that probably shouldn't be expected to be lottery favourites, but aren't playoff contenders either.

Next, they look at wildcard teams. These are teams that have a very outside chance at making a top-three divisional spot but are a good bet to be on that playoff bubble contending for a wild card. Both Alex and Chace really only feel one team fits this description though. Finally, they have the top three tiers. Ironically, four teams in this division fit that. However, this tier is for the teams that have a legit shot at the division title. If not that, for sure a top-three spot in the division.

  • Why Does FIFA Want a World Cup Every Two Years?

World Cup qualifying showcased many things about the beautiful game on and off the pitch this past week. Especially in the facet of having global things affect the games themselves.

Of course, Brazil vs. Argentina debacle is front of mind as those in charge of Brazil’s medical quadrant got involved and made a fiasco of a huge game that had already started. Plus Erik Watkins has another story that is even bigger than that one.

Sean Garmer has a bone to pick with FIFA and why they did not honor the already in place UEFA stadium ban which could have prevented the racial abuse incidents that the England players suffered in their game against Hungary.

FIFA has also drawn the ire of UEFA and many others in a grander way as right now Arsene Wenger is leading the charge for a major change to the FIFA World Cup structure in possibly having it biennially instead of every four years. The guys have a great discussion and try to answer the question of Why FIFA wants a World Cup every two years and why this isn’t such a good idea.

Also, the NWSL made a huge decision in not only having their championship game in Portland again but also making the game a 9 am Pacific time start. The duo discusses why this is a bad move and what it says about the league decision-makers as a whole.

Plus a look our MLS and other international teams have faired in games as well.
