At the protests outside Parliament RNZ's reporter Nick Truebridge is live from the scene on a day when protesters' behaviour was condemned as "absolutely disgraceful" by police leaders. There was a confrontation between police and protesters early on Tuesday morning which escalated when a car hurtled towards officers.

There have been scuffles between police and anti-mandate protesters outside Parliament tonight. A woman who tried to stop police bundling a man into a police van, threw a bottle of water at officers, setting off another skirmish between protesters and the police.
