Calfuqueo Aliste vive y trabaja en Santiago de Chile, es Licenciado y Magister en Artes Visuales de la Universidad de Chile. Es parte del colectivo mapuche feminista Rangiñtulewfü. De origen Mapuche, su obra recurre a su herencia cultural como un punto de partida para proponer una reflexión crítica sobre el estatus social, cultural y político del sujeto Mapuche al interior de la sociedad chilena actual y Latinoamérica. Calfuqueo Aliste es ganador del Premio de la Municipalidad de Santiago en 2017 y el Premio de la Fundación FAVA en 2018.
