Dr. Brandon Broyles, Brady Broyles, and I discuss the slaughtering and carnage of the Passover festival around 37 - 44 A.D. in Jerusalem. We estimate 600,000 slaughtered lambs, producing enough blood to fill between 5 to 100 tanker trucks (depending on how much blood the priests caught in their basin from each lamb). The Passover Festival sacrifices had assembly-line efficiency to accommodate approximately 6 million people. And all sacrifices were made in a single day.

We look at verses in the Old Testament that established a suffering and dying Messiah, and discuss the similarities between Moses and Jesus in accordance with the Old Testament teaching that Jesus would be akin to Moses. We discuss how new information can shed light on history, and how the New Testament’s revelation reveals the hidden plan that was latent but also kept intentionally mysterious in the Old Testament.

We discuss why the plan of God to have a sacrificial lamb atone for the sins of the world had to be veiled in mystery, so as not to allow for the circumvention of the divine plan by man.
