This is part 2 of the discussion in which Dr. Brandon Broyles and I discuss the claims made by Jesus about himself and how he saw himself. We discuss the argument made C.S. Lewis in his book Mere Christianity that is commonly referred to as the Trilemma - that given the actual claims made by Jesus, such as his eternal nature, power over the whole world to forgive sins, that he came from heaven, that he and God are one, etc, leave open only three possibilities - either Jesus was a liar, a lunatic, or Lord.

Brandon Broyles and I discuss the actual claims made by Jesus about Himself, and how those claims negate the possibility of just being a human moral teacher given His claims of divinity and eternal life.

I explore the question of why a benevolent and all powerful God would constitute nature as such that allows for the suffering of innocent creatures and how I believe there is a benevolence behind the nature of existence that allows for maximum human flourishing in the fallen world conditions.
