Nl: Hoog boven Amsterdam dansten witte wolken in de strakblauwe lucht.
En: High above Amsterdam, white clouds danced in the clear blue sky.

Nl: Aan het bruisende kanaal stond het huis van Jan.
En: On the bustling canal stood Jan's house.

Nl: Elke dag fietste Jan langs dit kanaal.
En: Every day, Jan cycled along this canal.

Nl: Else woonde verderop, aan dezelfde kanaalkant.
En: Else lived further down, on the same side of the canal.

Nl: Op een dag gingen Jan en Else naar de markt.
En: One day, Jan and Else went to the market.

Nl: Jan fietste op zijn rode fiets.
En: Jan rode his red bike.
