In Monday night's Town Board Meeting, we interviewed an applicant for the Planning Commission; heard an update from Serendipity Catering at the Superior Community Center; approved a new Town Governmental Fee Schedule for room rentals at the Superior Community Center; issued a liquor license for Serendipity Events at the Superior Community Center; approved a modification of premises and trade name for Rock Creek Entertainment / Rock Creek Bar & Grill; accepted PARC's recommendation to move forward with drafting a design / build contract with Star Playgrounds for a renovation of Purple Park playground; approved a contract with Asphalt Specialties for the 2021 Street Project for McCaslin Boulevard; and held an executive session to discuss legal claims against the Town by Daryl McCool.

In Monday night’s Town Board Meeting, we provided feedback on a concept plan for 250 apartment units at the Superior Marketplace, discussed a change to the Superior Municipal Code to allow food trucks with certain limitations, approved a design option for a mural at 1500 Coalton Road, approved the PROST Master Plan, and agreed on an approach for an in-person Fourth of July extravaganza.

In Monday night’s Town Board Meeting, we passed a resolution encouraging state legislature to address mass shootings and gun violence in Colorado by instituting at least a six day waiting period for the purchase of firearms and a ban on assault weapons; approved a concept plan and $75K incremental funding request for a new park and playground in Tract H; selected transportation projects to put forth for CDOT and DRCOG grant funding; agreed to move forward with drafting a ballot question for Superior residents to vote on a sales / use tax increase to fund future transportation improvements; and went into Executive Session to receive legal advice on the topic of the purchase of open space property.

In last Monday night's Town Board Meeting, we heard a request for a retail pet sales ordinance; approved the Town’s subscription to Xcel’s Windsource program to supply 100% of the Town’s municipal electricity use; provided feedback on proposed sculptures and ground murals for a pilot phase of the Superior ARTery; approved $37K in art for the 1500 Coalton Road Community Center; provided feedback and approved an update to our PROST Master Plan; and discussed several carryover items from last week's Town Board work session, including fire service, sustainability, gun violence prevention, street racing, affordable housing, and a potential tax for road maintenance.
