Just me sparking conversations of colorism within the latine community. Growing up as Afro-Latina, I rarely heard people discussing about this topic, where I decided to speak in my terms. I wrote this piece when I was a sophomore in college, where I didn’t have confidence to share until recently… I know my experience isn’t just relatable to other Afro-lantine individuals but it can provide insight to people outside of the community.
