A young mom's day would be turned upside down when she was met by two women after believing she was meeting up with her lover. Ashley Bocanegra, a 30-year-old mother of one, was lured to the parking lot of an apartment complex by 17-year-old Janine Gonzalez and 27-year-old Antonetta Stevens. Bocanegra had apparently been lovers with Gonzalez's brother, who was also Stevens' fiancé. When Bocanegra arrived, the duo confronted her and recorded the entire incident on video. Shortly after, Bocanegra died from her injuries. Stevens and Gonzalez were the prime suspects in her death, leading to their arrest and interrogations. A 17-year-old in Toledo, Ohio was accused of murdering her boyfriend’s mother. Mary Kay “Katie” Wohlfarth, an antique dealer, was found beaten to death in her self-storage unit in Akron, Ohio after her family reported her missing. Investigators began collecting evidence after finding Katie's body, including security footage showing a man entering her storage unit. The 68-year-old's car was also stolen. Police identified the man as Michael Olson, an acquaintance of Wohlfarth. Nineteen-year-old Telan Mann began receiving Instagram messages from an attractive man looking to meet up with him in Daytona Beach, Florida. Sonya Deville sprinted through her Florida home in terror when she saw a masked man clothed in black staring at her after her alarm system was triggered. Months earlier, Deville, real name Daria Rae Berenato, was bombarded with threatening messages on social media. One of the messages read, “You’re gonna give me what I want. There is no way you can avoid it.” Deville called 911 immediately after spotting the intruder. A Citgo gas station erupted in chaos on a cold Wisconsin night after two masked men rushed inside with guns. The clerk, Saeed Sharwani, panicked when the intruders began waving their firearms and demanding money. He was shot at point-blank range after grabbing one of the robbers. Waukesha investigators used the surveillance footage to identify the two suspects and tracked them down in just 10 hours, arresting Darrin Malone and Kenneth Thomas. In addition to the main suspect, two accomplices faced legal consequences for their roles in this crime. Jerica Cotton entered a guilty plea in February to a modified charge of armed robbery. She received an eight-year prison sentence in April, followed by 10 years of extended supervision. That same month, Darrin Malone was sentenced after a jury found him guilty of one count of felony murder in February. He was ordered to serve 25 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision, with credit for the 421 days he had already spent in custody.
