Hello, sports fans! From coast to coast and Newfoundland, the Lawn Chair Lads are dropping the puck and talking sports in our twelfth episode! The recent MLB lockout and lockouts of other prominent professional leagues is discussed, as well as the absurdity of today's big money contracts for professional athletes. It's not all doom and gloom however, as Mitch and Brandon talk about their favourite sports, teams, and memories playing hockey and rugby. The use and abuse of performance enhancing drugs is also talked about. So dawn your favourite team's jersey and settle in for yet another lawn chair conversation. 

We're back with our second episode of our ongoing series, At The Movies. In This episode, the Lawn Chair Lads go gangster, as they discuss Martin Scorsese's 1990 masterpiece, Goodfellas, based on the real life of the Lucchese crime family gangster Henry Hill. Hear Mitch and Brandon discuss their favourite moments from the film, the music, costumes and that amazing pink Cadillac. Now go get your fuckin' shine box, pour a glass of your finest whiskey and kick back for another lawn chair conversation. 

Lawn Chair Conversations is in the double digits with episode #10. In this episode, the lawn chair lads talk about a heavy subject that isn't really spoken of too much within certain circles: mental health. Brandon and Mitch open up and are quite candid about certain dark periods in their lives, and lay out the tools in their arsenal to overcome and move forward. You don't want to skip this episode, and remember, it's a good life if you don't weaken. 

This is the first episode in our ongoing series about cinema. Muster up the Rohirrim as the Lawn Chair Lads take the cinematic adventure of Lord of The Rings and discuss their favourite aspects of the film. It's Devil's Night, and the Lawn Chair lads are chopping it up about Halloween! Mitch and Brandon discuss favourite costumes they've worn in the past, their favourite candy and horror movies. Throw out the candy corn, break out the Three Musketeers bars, and enjoy this latest sacrifice to the Dark Lord in the form of a podcast. Happy Halloween, foolish mortals!

Episode seven brings us to a topic dear to all, food. This four-course intellectual meal begins with an appetizer of Mitch and Brandon's favourite restaurants, both local to Kamloops and abroad. Our second course is an overview of go-to meals, as well as certain meals we had as kids that we can no longer stand, AND meals we hated as kids, but now, can't get enough of. Do you take wine or beer with your meals? The third course opens with just that question. Save room for our final course though, because this desert is no light cake. Brandon and Mitch attempt to finish strong with room for coffee while asking the question: who's cooking would you rather have for the rest of your life if you were forced to? The lads in the lawn chairs return after a brief hiatus to talk about fitness, concentrating on weight lifting, nutrition and a dash of rugby thrown into the mix. Mitch and Brandon discuss top body builders such as Big Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler and of course, the Austrian Oak himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. They also talk about how they got into weight lifting, as well as give their honest opinions on the use of steroids. Episode five lifts the curtain on today's subject, acting! We open act one of this very special episode of Lawn Chair Conversations with a quick Q&A with Lawn Chair Conversation's own Brandon Reid, being an accomplished, self proclaimed "semi-professional-community actor" with more than a few productions under his belt. Mitch fires a volley at him hoping to pick the brain of the actor. Act two opens with Brandon explaining the method actor’s mindset. Act 3 consists of a discussion of our favorite actors and why. In our fourth episode, we're covering the philosophy known as Stoicism. We talk in great detail about our favourite stoic book "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius, by examining direct quotes from the source material. We also give examples of the Stoic philosophy used in modern times, from war tactics, to activism and the agreed upon "Social Contract." The Lawn Chair lads are back with their sophomore hit on the subject of music. Brandon and Mitch talk about bucket list concerts; show's that they have crossed off of their list, shows they would like to cross off, and shows that they wish they could cross off. They also discuss who they feel the greatest Canadian artist is as well as favourite female singers and iconic movie scores.
