Michael Sowers has entered the NCAA lacrosse transfer portal because Princeton & Yale decide no redshirts for withdrawing from the spring semester, which means, no Michael Sowers at Princeton next season. So there is now a very good chance we get to see Michael Sowers play out his senior year SOMEWHERE ELSE. What a crazy world we live in. Exciting news as we could potentially see some of the Yale guys, like TD or Morrill transfer as well.
But beyond that, I'll talk a little bit about how nice it has been seeing people "get back to work" in the sense that there is less crying over the spilled milk, and a lot more videos and posts about getting back to training and improving as players, coaches and humans. We can beat this thing together

I got the chance to sit down with Syracuse senior midfielder and USILA All-American Jamie Trimboli Friday night. We talk about how bad it sucks that COVID-19 merked the 2020 college lacrosse season, we talk about what it's been like getting a chance to play for the team he loved growing up, and he refuses to tell us which linemate he would pick to help him bury a dead body.

The college lacrosse season was ended by the coronavirus, aka COVID-19, and the NCAA ruled that all sping athletes will be getting redshirts. But what does that mean for incoming freshmen? For the seniors deciding to use them and the parents that have to pay for these kids to go to school? We'll talk about it in this 93rd episode of The LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast.

In the 92nd LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast, we'll talk a bit about the corona virus and how it nuked our college lacrosse season and more. We'll talk about what's next for the LaxFactor Podcast moving forward without college lacrosse (the horror). We'll be using this extra time to get back into the retail and team apparel game. We'll also talk a bit about Rob Pannell choosing the PLL along with some of his MLL home boys and what that means moving forward for both the PLL and the MLL.

There are a lot of talented midfielders playing college lacrosse in 2020, but the three guys I'm going to outline in this video, Jamie Trimboli (SR, Syracuse), Jack Hannah (JR, Denver) and Jonathan Donville (JR, Cornell) are all having MONSTER seasons so far in 2020.
It's actually hard to call any of these guys "breakout stars" as they have all had great careers since stepping onto their respective campus', but these guys are all seeing big production jumps in 2020 and all have been called upon to step up and lead their teams.
Trimboli is as clutch as you get, scoring game-winners against Duke as a freshman and sophomore and has consistently put up points since stepping on campus. Hannah didn't factor as a rookie, but last season as a sophomore had a great year and is set to be one of the top midfielders in the country in 2020. Donville has put up 30+ points in each of his first two seasons with Cornell, but is on place to bust those numbers up on 2020.

Cornell handled their business at the face-off dot and the result was a 1-goal win over Penn State. Brown used a big day from Phil Goss in net as he made 16 saves and that was good enough to get Brown the win. Syracuse rode their first midfield line to a route of Johns Hopkins in the Orange's first road game of the year. Princeton proved they can win games even if Michael Sowers doesn't put up 8+ points. Duke's 1st midfield got demoted to 2nd midfield, and then went on to play their best game of the year in beating Loyola by 3 goals. Ohio State got a big win over Hofstra. Maryland road Wisnauskas's 8 point day to a 1 goal win over visiting Albany, and Tehoka Nanticoke has continued his tear with 5 goals in the Great Danes loss.
Lot's of college lacrosse to talk about today and I'll get to all of it in a very long episode.

A lot of college lacrosse games to touch on in this weeks preview show, including Penn State vs Cornell, Syracuse vs Hopkins, Duke vs Loyola, Denver vs Notre Dame, Rutgers vs Princeton and many more.
Can Michael Sowers continue his points tear against Rutgers in this in-state rivalry game? Can Penn State merk Cornell at the face-off dot like Ohio State did? If so, they'll win big over the Big Red. If Cornell can half-way handle their f/o business, Jeff Teat and company can keep this game interesting.
Syracuse and Hopkins hate each other, and Cuse hits the road to play at Homewood for the first time in 3 years or so. Will Joey Epstein be his normal self? If so, Hopkins can hang. If not, Cuse will run away with it thanks to too much midfield awesomeness. Tucker Dordevic, Brendan Curry and Jamie Trimboli are chomping at the bit to run the score up on Hop at Homewood. Nick Mellen could be back as well.
And we'll set the vegas lines for the games we are most interested, all in this episode, so enjoy.

In this 87th episode of the LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast, we are going to recap Sunday's games including Cornell vs Ohio State, North Carolina vs Denver, Air Force vs Virginia and Furman vs Duke.
Cornell dropped Ohio State 16-15 despite losing 30 face-offs to Justin Inacio. Jeff Teat put up 4 goals and 2 assists for Cornell and Tre Leclair went for 6 goals and 2 assists in the loss for OSU.
North Carolina hit the road to face Denver and despite a 15-13 win that appeared close on paper, UNC had control of this game from start to finish and was never really threatened by Denver. Ethan Walker put up 5 goals for Denver and Justin Anderson went off for UNC tallying 5 goals and 2 assists.
Virginia beat up on Air Force and Duke trashed Furman, so the ACC teams that played Sunday all handled their business as did Syracuse on Saturday. Notre Dame was the lone ACC team that lost this weekend.

In this weeks 86th LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast College Lacrosse Recaps Show, we are going to rip through Yale's loss to UMass, Penn State's OT win over rival Penn, Princeton's handling of Johns Hopkins and Notre Dame's loss to Maryland.
Yale's goaltending killed them on the day and in the end is the big reason for this loss. UMass held Yale's known quantities down as well playing a great defensive game. Penn State needed help from almost everyone on their roster to squeak past Penn. Ament was quiet with just 2 goals and 2 helpers, and Mac O'Keefe played hero and netted the game winner in OT.
Hopkins got owned by Michael Sowers and Princeton. Sowers put up 2 goals and 7 assists by the end of the first half, and the Tigers rolled the Jays from there.
Maryland finally put a full four quarters together and the end result was a fairly lopsided victory over a very solid Notre Dame lacrosse team.
