    Lot's of games to preview and set lines for in this Week 2 College Lacrosse Weekend Preview Show.  Games we'll talk about include, Penn vs. Maryland, Yale vs Villanova, Rutgers vs Army, Hopkins vs Loyola, Duke vs Denver, Cornell vs Albany and many more.
    A couple of legit big time matchups to keep an eye on though. Penn @ Maryland was a great lacrosse game last year and should be again this year. But look out for Maryland having a head start on Penn with this being Penn's first contest and the Terps third outing.
    Duke @ Denver is also going to be a big game. Duke picked up a rebound win over High Point last weekend, but Denver handled the team that upset Duke in week one, Air Force. I actually like Duke to pull out a one or two goal game in this one, but I think Vegas would side with Denver.
    Loyola embarrassed Hopkins last year at Homewood, so I think that Hopkins will be looking for a bit of blood when they travel to face crosstown rival Loyola. I like Hopkins in this one, especially if Epstein plays.
    Tons of great lacrosse though, Rutgers @ Army, Yale @ Villanova, where Nova has played Yale tough the last two seasons, Cornell @ Albany playing in upstate NY in terrible conditions, Binghamton looking to possibly get beat down by Syracuse in the Dome.

  • College Lacrosse Weekend Recaps (Week 1, Part 1): Loyola/Virginia, Towson/Hopkins, Duke/High Point (LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #76)
    In the weekend action of week 1, we saw Virginia drop Loyola at home, Johns Hopkins got revenge over Towson, Duke picked up their first win by beating up on Asher Nolting and High Point and there were a few other games to talk about, including some D3 action.
    Virginia got a healthy dose of Matt Moore and a solid effort in cage out of Alex Rode as they beat a new look Loyola team.  Johns Hopkins was without Joey Epstein, but no worries as Cole Williams was good for 3 goals and 4 assists in Hopkins drubbing of Towson. Duke got revenge on High Point for last years upset loss in Durham by dispatching High Point on the road. Duke has struggled against SoCon teams over the last 5 or 6 years early in the season.

  • College Lacrosse Recaps: Syracuse, Navy & Ohio State All Pick Up Wins (LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #75)
    A couple of lacrosse games we'll discuss in this College Lacrosse Recap Special... Syracuse dropped Colgate at the Dome, Navy got a win over Manhatten, and Ohio State beat down on Detroit Mercy to start off our week 1 action.
    Chase Scanlan started his Cuse career off well going for 7 goals, and teammate Stephen Rehfuss tallied a goal and 8 helpers. The Syracuse defense struggled, but they were good enough to route Colgate. Navy jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the 1st quarter and the game was never really in question after. Ohio State, they totally put the smack down on Detroit Mercy, proving that the Big Ten teams are focused on putting up points hoping to be ready to try and outscore Penn State.

    In Part 2 of this weeks College Lacrosse Weekend Recap Show, week zero coverage continues, this time we're talking about Maryland beating up on High Point, Penn States not so bloody win over Lafayette, Rutgers scores 20 goals in their win over Qunnipiac and Marquette pulls out a big W in OT vs Cleveland State.
    Also got the bad news that Joe Robertson of Duke will miss 2020 with a torn ACL.  That's terrible news for Robertson who was poised to be Duke's big cat on offense, as well as for Duke as a team as they desparately need Robertson to lead them on offense.

  • College Lacrosse Week Zero Recaps: Air Force vs Duke, Colgate vs UNC & More (LaxFactor Podcast #71)
    Week Zero is behind us and we got our first upset of the college lacrosse season with Air Force knocking off Duke.  North Carolina beat up on Colgate, Detroit Mercy beat Jacksonville, Utah beat Bellarmine out west and we'll talk a bit of Division 3 action as well.
    Air Force's win over Duke was huge, and I'll pat myself on the back for seeing it coming.  UNC beating up on Colgate was a bit of a surprise to me as I figured Colgate could keep that game a bit more interesting. Jacksonville and Detroit Mercy put on a good show in a game of runs that Detroit Mercy won, and Utah has continued to improve in just their second season, increasing their margin of victory over Bellermine from 1 goal, to 6 goals.

  • LaxFactor Lacrosse Daily #006 (1.31.20): D1 Media Poll Hits, ACC Has All 5 Teams In The Top 10, Inacio Out For Ohio State
    So, the D1 Media Poll hit Inside Lacrosse this week, and the ACC has ALL 5 TEAMS IN THE TOP 10.  UVA at #2, Cuse at #5, Duke at #7, Notre Dame at #8 and UNC at #10.  That's bonkers.  Justin Anacio is out for an undetermined amount of time for Ohio State as reported by Ty Xanders, the wizard of personnel in lacrosse.  That is going to hurt OSU early.  AND LAX IS WITH IS THIS WEEKEND, so everyone buckle up.  This season is going to fly by, and it all starts this weekend.....
