We are back with our wonderful regular lay, who has become less lay since we last met, so listen while you can as she may be getting the sack... BUT we love her and we love puppies and we would LOVE for you to listen and learn about dogs episodic memory and their sense of 'self'. Shit is getting deep.
We would love to hear from you. You can find us on Instagram or Twitter @layitoutpodcast. You can also e-mail us at [email protected].
First of all, we would like to take some time in this episode to address what is happening in the world at the moment with Black Lives Matter. We may not have a big following but we truly hope that even just one person listening to this will keep the conversation alive and we can all come together in this fight against the deep rooted racism that has infiltrated our world. STEM is not innocent. There is a massive racial inequality seen in STEM everyday. As scientists we acknowledge this and we would like to ask everyone to use their time to read, listen, empathise, speak, donate and whatever else you can do to keep this extremely important conversation alive. This isn't a trend and this isn't a bandwagon. This is about fixing a human rights issue that is taking lives.
This week we are joined by another science guest: DR ALISH PALMOS! He'll be talking to us all about his very positive journey into science and a deep dive into how trauma and BMI might be linked with your mental health.

Also maybe wait to listen to this once you've eaten something, we discuss food... A LOT.
