Welcome back to the podcast, My People! Today is Episode 37, and we're diving into financial literacy—something we all need but unfortunately aren’t taught in school. But don’t worry, I’ve got Grace Hardy here with me today, and she’s going to teach us everything we need to know, including myself.
As we leave school and step into the world, we often find ourselves lacking understanding when it comes to finances, taxes, saving for homes, or other essential expenses. This lack of knowledge can be a significant hindrance. That’s why it’s so important to learn these things now, so we can have an upper hand when managing our finances.
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed recording it for you! Take care, everybody!
Grace also has her own podcast about unconventional routes, which I’ll link below along with her social media so you can all connect with her. As always, my details and links are also provided below.

Cameron recently finished filming his upcoming short film ‘Sunrise.’ Sunrise is about a scam artist who saves the life of a suicidal women. The Tromp family seemed paranoid, John Darwin faked his death to try get out of his financial troubles, and Sherrie, well, we don’t know why Sherrie did what she did. She is by far the most confusing story we have today. To get the full story listen to this episode!

Welcome back to the podcast my People!
I recently had the privilege of recording a podcast with Taban Shoresh. Taban is the founder of the Lotus Flower charity. The Lotus Flower provides women and girls impacted by conflict with the tools they need to rebuild their lives. The Lotus Flower is based in both the UK and in Kurdistan, it was inspired out of Taban’s own experiences while helping provide aid for victims of the Islamic state. Taban was recently awarded an OBE for her work which has impacted the lives of over 60,000 people.
Additionally, Taban herself has a very inspiring story. She is a genocide survivor, she had miraculously escaped death on many occasions. And yet even with all these challenging experiences she has taken that energy and used it for good. Honestly there is so much more to this, but I just don’t want to give to much away, I want you all to listen to this podcast for yourselves. As a fellow Kurd it was a very proud moment for me to have Taban on the podcast, I consider it Kurdish representation at its finest. I can truly say Taban is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met. The world deserves to hear her story!
You can connect with Taban on social media and find out more about her ongoing work I will add her socials below and put in the link to her charity.
