How do we decide what is the top priority in our lives? How do we spend our energy, time, finances? Are we living generously toward God and others? Do we live clutching what we have or are our hands open both to receive and to give?

May we recognize that all that we are and all that we have comes from God. We are called to faithfully manage and generously share our lives and resources for His Kingdom and glory all the days of our lives.

Good or bad, positive or negative, building up or tearing down, the thoughts we choose to dwell on will affect our reasoning, our attitudes, our actions, our reactions, and ultimately control our lives.

We all face temptation. It comes in various forms. What is the source of temptation? How do we resist temptations when they come? God has promised to help us stand in the face of temptation. Today, we look at the powerful weapons God has placed in our hands to be victorious in the face of temptation.

The life of a Christian should be lived by a different set of standards than the world. No longer can we be slaves to sin, but servants of Christ, living a life of virtue, a life of moral excellence.

We each have a sin nature that wants to remain in control, Yet, for those who have turned to Christ, God has given us a new nature and with it all we need to live for Him.

We wouldn’t live very long without food. Our physical lives require nourishment, and our spiritual lives depend on the nourishment we receive from the word of God. Today we will examine the importance of being a people who study and obey the Bible.
