    Ana María Merino Tijoux est née le 12 juin 1977 à Lille, fille de parents chiliens exilés par le coup d'État du 11 septembre 1973[1]. En 1982, sa famille déménage à Paris. Elle connut le Chili pour la première fois en 1983, quand sa famille rendit visite à ses grands-parents.

    Ana María Merino Tijoux was born on 12 June 1977 in Lille (France), the daughter of Chilean parents exiled by the coup d'état of 11 September 1973. In 1982, his family moved to Paris. She first came to know Chile in 1983, when her family visited her grandparents.
