C2RO has developed a proprietary global machine vision platform that offers end-to-end enterprise software solutions. She has a Ph.D. in computer science and was selected among the top 750 digital IT innovators of the world and the top young entrepreneur in Quebec in 2018. This week we are joined by Sam Vermette. With a background in industrial design, Sam Vermette has always been passionate about the impact of technology on people and their surroundings. With a thirst for building, he taught himself web development very young to give life to his ideas. In 2012, he teamed up with Guillaume Campagna to found Transit, a mobile app aiming to facilitate urban mobility. In this episode, Sam shared how he and his co-founder unexpectedly build a successful mobile application used in over 125 cities and counting millions of active users around the world.

He created the company with the hope to change cities and make them greener and more human. In this talk, Xavier recalls the beginnings of Smarthalo which he launched with only 25 dollars. At first, the idea was to provide navigation for cyclists and then enable them to track down a stolen bicycle. Today, SmartHalo provides advanced features without overwhelming cyclists who need to focus on the many challenges of urban environments.
