  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Winning The Year With CAKE

    In this episode, Chabidaye discussed:

    • Investing in your success
    • Surrounding yourself with community
    • Tracking your progress and habits
    • Managing your energy

    Key Takeaways:

    • Invest in yourself and in your success. Get a coach, a planner, and a calendar. Plan your new year and schedule your breaks and vacations. Make sure to always take care of yourself.
    • Find a community or a group that you can be accountable with, people that will encourage you when you stumble and keep you motivated to work for your dreams and goals.
    • Measure everything. Track your business, your growth, and your habits. You have to have a system in place so that you know where you are in relation to your goals.
    • Managing your energy is a high performance habit. Know how you could raise your energy level so you could accomplish more at work and how you could also moderate it when you need to slow down. You must also figure out what recharges you so that you will not burn out.

"You just need to do your best. And then let go. Trust that the universe will do the rest and it works. You don't have control over everything. So do your part." —  Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

  • Ashley Cook: The #1 Thing That Holds You Back From Success

About Ashley Cook: She is a copywriter and copy coach who helps people sell their programs or service.  She comes alongside and supports impact-driven entrepreneurs who want to make a difference in this world.

In this episode, Chabidaye and Ashley discuss:

    • Perfecting your business
    • Systems and processes that work
    • Mindset can make or break your business
    • Don’t DIY your inner work

    Key Takeaways:

    • Perfectionism can paralyze you when launching a business. You have to launch it and accept that it will be imperfect at the beginning then commit to perfecting your business through improvement and adjustment.
    • As we learn, grow, and experiment in our businesses, we need to keep track of the processes, methods, and systems that work and slowly establish our own guardrails in order to reinforce growth and sustainability in our business.
    • Your mindset, your hang-ups, and your attitude affect everything about your business. That’s why doing your inner work is a priority if you want your business to keep growing.
    • The first step towards breaking free of our limiting beliefs is being aware of them, this is a problem as we aren’t always aware of what’s in our blindspots. We need the guidance of a coach in order to bring things into full awareness and follow through with transformation.

"That’s how you succeed as an entrepreneur, you have to take that risk.." —  Ashley Cook

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Bridging The Gap To Your Goals

    In this episode, Chabidaye discussed:

    • The Squiggly Line
    • Setting a goal and following through
    • Sparking change through self-awareness
    • Making an inventory of people you surround yourself with

    Key Takeaways:

    • The line between “now” and “december 23” won’t be a straight one. It’ll be a squiggly line, filled with ups and downs; successes and failures.
    • Set a goal. Have clarity on what it is you want to achieve and have the courage to take the first step. Build on that courage and practice being confident.
    • Every change starts with self-awareness. Look into your mindset, your attitude, your habits, and your energy. Be aware of which ones are serving you and which aren’t and be ready to transform the ones that hinder you from becoming your best self.
    • You become who you surround yourself with so make an inventory of who you hang out with. Surround yourself with high-performing people and those who are already at the next level that you want to be in.

"The next level that you want is within your reach." — Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Attitude Affects Altitude

    In this episode, Chabidaye discussed:

    • Attitude can either propel or derail your team
    • Spotting bad attitude in your team
    • How to change your attitude
    • Where attitude can take you

    Key Takeaways:

    • Just as it could propel your team toward success, attitude also has the power to completely derail your team’s progress. Even just one person with a negative attitude in a team can change the dynamic.
    • As a leader, it’s important for you to spot the attitude of your team members and identify who’s propagating negativity in the group. It’s important that your team is completely built up of people with a positive attitude who bounce creativity and proactiveness off each other.
    • You can change your attitude! Start with self-awareness. Change your vocabulary, change your thinking, and develop good habits. Lastly, adopt a teachable attitude.
    • Attitude is the extra plus in leadership and a good attitude will take you to where talent alone cannot.

"The fantastic news in all of this is that throughout our life, our attitude is always under construction." —  Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Become a Better Problem Solver

    In this episode, Chabidaye discussed:

    • Solve problems and overcome obstacles
    • Lean on others
    • Keeping yourself focused on the vision
    • The opportunity to evolve through problems

    Key Takeaways:

    • Every problem has a solution. When problems occur, slow down and discuss them with your family or team, and ask questions. Once you’ve overcome a problem, celebrate with the team.
    • Lean on others, you’re not meant to solve a problem on your own. The solution to the problem is already in the room, it’s already in your team members. Someone just has to bring it out of them.
    • Remind yourself that the problem is just a temporary setback on the journey. It’s a piece of a puzzle for you to solve. Keep yourself focused on the vision.
    • Each time you solve a problem, you will become better.  People around you will know that they can count on you to get the job done. Opportunities will open up. Your skillset and confidence will grow.

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Four Ideas to End the Year Strong

    In this episode, Chabidaye discussed:

    • Focus on your goals
    • Taking action and holding yourself accountable
    • Celebrating your wins along the way
    • Making use of your 24 hours

    Key Takeaways:

    • Look at your goals as your list of things that you want to accomplish, and pick one thing that you want to get done by the end of the year.
    • Share the one thing with someone so they can hold you accountable.  Then identify the actions that you need to take, the small goals within the big goal that you need to accomplish in order to get things done. Once you’ve laid out your plan, it’s only a matter of doing it.
    • Celebrate your wins and progress. Even little progress is worth celebrating. Plan for a celebration once you’ve completed your tasks.
    • We have 80 days left in the year. We all have the same 24 hours given to us that we can choose to spend either thinking about doing what we want to do or actually doing it and contributing to progress.

"You've been thinking for the past nine months about doing something, you've been watching your goals. Well, it is time to act now. It's time to stop learning and thinking, and to actually start doing. If you don't get started, remember, you'll never get to the end." —  Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Get More Done: 3 Tips to Increase Your Productivity

    In this episode, Chabidaye discussed:

    • Why should you create a system?
    • Changing the way you see your inbox
    • Helping others who don’t have a system in place
    • How not to waste time in meetings

    Key Takeaways:

    • Spending time on thinking about what you’ll decide to do in a given time is taking away some of your energy. You need to have a system in place so that you don’t waste energy thinking about what to do.
    • Your email is not a storage but a processing station. Whenever you get a new message, you need to sort it out immediately - either do what you need to do now, save it in a folder for later, or delete it if it’s junk.
    • Recognize that others may not have a system for productivity like you do. Help them out by doing little things like putting the due date in the email subject line and the action point that they need to do so that when they’re scanning their inbox, they can see the urgent tasks.
    • In order to not waste your time in a meeting, it’s important that there’s clarity on who’s going to do what. Before the meeting ends, ask the question of what’s the next step so that there’s ownership and accountability for each one in the group.

"By writing down those things out of your mind, you capture it in a safe place and it allows your mind to let it go." — Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath
