In this episode, I explore the idea that real change doesn’t come from trying to fix things externally—it comes from shifting how we see ourselves. So many of us spend our lives trying to improve our circumstances, thinking that if we just get the right job, relationship, financial security, or even the right mindset, then we’ll finally be happy. But if we’re honest, how often does that actually work?
I’ve realised that most of our desires—whether it’s success, security, or recognition—aren’t really about those things at all. Deep down, what we are actually searching for is connection. But when we tie our sense of safety and fulfilment to things outside of us, we’re always left wanting more. No matter what we achieve, there’s always something else.
True freedom doesn’t come from fixing or improving ourselves. It comes from stepping outside of the unconscious patterns that keep us stuck—patterns we don’t even realise are running our lives. Instead of constantly striving and trying to control everything, the real transformation happens when we let go. When we surrender.
Finding stillness is what allows us to step out of the mind’s endless loops and see things as they really are. It’s in that stillness that we stop chasing happiness and start experiencing life as it unfolds, moment by moment. And when we do that, something shifts. We move through life with an open heart, no longer caught up in the illusion of striving, struggling, or needing things to be a certain way.
This episode is an invitation to consider:
What if we don’t need to do more to find peace?
What if all we need to do is stop running and simply be?
