In support of Military Appreciation Month, we have Joshua Derden, a member of Veteran Xtreme Adventures (VXA) with us today. Joshua Derden is a US Army veteran. Joshua understands that battle scars are not always physically apparent, and are often illustrated through addictions, anger, and violence.
VXA believes that through adventure, comradery, and therapy, we can make a significant impact in the veteran community. We understand the extreme difficulty veterans endure to re-integrate into American society, after leaving the structured life of the military. We feel that there is a lack of resources for this group of ‘forgotten veterans’ once they make the shift from Soldier to civilian. VXA embraces the “no man left behind” model, even after soldiers leave the military. We promise to provide a network of support, resources, and a life-lasting bond with brothers who have shared similar experiences.
We discuss getting your vision and purpose back; seeing the need; and it is more than a hunt.
