This is the first episode in a series of discussions with my husband, Asif Sayed on Homeschooling and Fatherhood. This year we completed 10 years since Home Education became a lifestyle choice for us as a family. It has been quite a journey for us, while it had its share of ups and downs yet deeply fulfilling and enriching... way beyond our expectations.
We hope that fathers who are embarking on this journey find something beneficial and hopefully find some answers to their questions. A fathers role is unique in a homeschool and their leadership and role is key in deciding the long term stability and success of home education.

In this episode, I discussed with parent coach Shahnila on all the benefits I have personally seen in slowing down. I think this is the most understated advice. But this is worth reminding each other especially with young children.
We need rest to grow. But with children this is an essential but unknowingly we interfere with our children's growth and development.

In this episode, I had a chance to talk to Raeesa, a mom of 2 young boys.
We talked about the difference between being intentional in parenting vs getting completely engulfed by it. While this is often hard to avoid especially in those early years but there is a lot of benefit in creating from distance between our 'role' and us, as a person.
It can make us so much more effective as parents and educators.

In this episode we explore a common myth about homeschooling. Most people perceive homeschooling to be an extraordinary, impossibly difficult endeavor that only 'supermoms' attempt. This is far from the truth.
In one of the weekly LIVE sessions we explored what it takes to homeschool and how we are all equally capable of and are responsible for our children's education.
This episode is from the series 'Homeschool Myth Busters'.
