Welcome to the 200th episode of the Leading Lady podcast!
I can't believe I'm already celebrating four years of podcasting! Whether you're a long-time listener or this is the first episode you're clicking on, thank you for being here.
As I was reflecting on this milestone and what I wanted to talk about in this episode, I started thinking about how, even 200 episodes in, sometimes I don't feel confident in myself; imposter syndrome still creeps in. I know that we all deal with imposter syndrome, it's a vicious cycle that so many women in leadership and entrepreneurship find themselves in, so what better topic to unpack together in this episode?
I'm sharing what imposter syndrome looks like for me, why it's so common amongst entrepreneurs, and the key to overcoming it every time it rises up.
Topics covered in this episode include:
Why you experience imposter syndrome
How to break out of the culture of comparison
The beauty in knowing that no one else in the world is you
If you often find yourself struggling with imposter syndrome, I hope this episode will help!

We've all heard that comparison is the thief of joy, but lately, I've realized how true that really is.
All the time I hear women talking about how they should be doing something because they see someone else doing it, and believe me, I fall into this trap too. I get it.
Why do we think that doing something we don't want to do is somehow going to make us feel happier or more successful?
This episode of the Leading Lady podcast is about rejecting comparison and instead celebrating all of our unique qualities and successes. Just because one woman experienced success in something, doesn't mean you have to do it too. You can be happy for her and move on, and that doesn't make you a failure. I'm sharing some of my own experiences with comparison as well as some tips to help you stop comparing yourself to others and start living as your authentic self.
Topics covered in this episode include:
How social media keeps you stuck in the comparison trap
The negative effects of constant comparison
Reconnecting with what you really want for yourself
If you often feel like you're behind everyone else, you're not good enough, or you should be doing more, you need to hear this! Tune in.

You don't have to do everything that everyone says.
Topics covered in this episode include:
Discerning what online advice does and does not align with you
What habits you want to keep, stop, and start in your life
Questions to ask yourself about information being presented to you

Today's episode is the final episode for 2023 and it's a vulnerable one! I'm revealing my reflections for the past year as well as a few plans I have moving into 2024. I discuss why intentional rest is SO important and how taking time off from my business earlier in the year allowed me to recharge, reassess my values, and gain confidence in my business systems. I also share my experience navigating unfulfilled commitments and why integrity and adaptability in professional relationships are so valuable. Accountability and making amends is vital when commitments can't be fulfilled as promised.
This special end of the year episode concludes with a reflective lesson on gracefully releasing relationships and opportunities without haboring bitterness or resentment and the significance of acknowledging when connections no longer align with your personal values. I hope this episode encourages you to do your own personal yearly reflection as we end 2023 and helps you to look forward to personal and/or professional growth in the coming year.

When you first start your business, it's so exciting! You have so much passion for your work, so the beginning phase is just magical, isn't it?
Sometimes, though, we end up in denial about how much work has to be done. With any business, there are going to be things that just aren't fun and that you don't love to do.
Getting the not-so-fun things done at the start will make your work easier because you will have the structure, discipline, and procedures in place that will keep everything running smoothly.
By doing the hard work now, you can do the smart work going forward in your business. In this episode of Leading Lady, I'm sharing my top tips for working smarter so that you can grow and scale your business without working harder.
It's hard to implement a work-life balance once your business is up and running, but by creating boundaries for how you're going to work and how you're going to structure your business in a way that works for your life and then honoring that, you are setting yourself up for success down the road as your business grows.
Tune in to learn about these tips and so much more!
