Will & Grace talk about the Teaming for Success program, designed to help leaders improve their capacity to lead their teams effectively. Few teams operate to their full potential, which isn’t surprising given how little training is available to leaders in this space. A lot of leadership training focuses on the one-to-one relationship between leader and direct report, or leader and peer, leader and boss etc … but there is very little out there to help leaders become more proficient at leading groups of people. The Teaming for Success program is based on three years of meta-research as to what constitutes great team effectiveness. We have translated insights from this research into wholly practical methods and frameworks that team leaders can begin to implement immediately.
The program is designed to be staged over several months, with participants putting new insights into practice in between sessions, so that they can see improvements in the way their teams are operating before the program finished. To help the process participants are all equipped with a copy of the Team Leader Instruction Manual (TLIM). The TLIM is full of exercises that team leaders can use with their teams and comes with more than 30 supporting resources, card games and free bMaps licences.
But it doesn’t stop there - in these days of complexity, it isn’t only up to the team leader to ensure teams operate effectively. Everyone has a role to play in contributing to the effectiveness of the teams of which they are a member. We also offer teaming programs for all staff, recognising the increasing importance of shared leadership across organisations.
