  "You know, I have a small research lab called Intent Driven AI Research and Development. And we do obviously AI research and development, but we turned down, let's see, I think last time I looked it was about 97.4%, I think, of investment opportunities. So companies that want to invest in us, we turn down about 97.4%. Sounds counterintuitive, but nonetheless we do it for a very specific reason. We stepped outside the industry."

  "I had everything I could need and want. A healthy family, a supportive family, a loving family, an irritating family, a beautiful son, a healthy son, a funny son, a loving son, a beautiful roommate, an intelligent roommate, generous roommate, a healthy roommate. You know, my extended family was good. I had great friends. I used to go to bed at night and feel like I felt very sorry for all the people in the world who didn't know peace."

  "I don't know if it was specifically schizophrenia, but he was, he was dealing with some similar type challenge. And so you see how it impacts the person dealing with it and you see how it impacts the whole family and his brother, who loves him so much and who remembers him when he was younger and everything. So that's useful. But the answer to the question changed my life for the better. I think it makes you humble because I guess that's the main way it affects me."

  "And so when you are the parent of a special needs child and you are aging yourself and you know that there's no one who really is going to take care of your child the way you do. It was pretty painful and heartbreaking for some parents to realize this group home was really the best place for their adult child and they would have to hope and pray for the best because they weren't going to be around. But I saw such dedication and I still do."

  "Like what was going on until well into adulthood when I came across a stack of my old IEPs and looked at them closely to realize that all these years for the fact that I had such close interaction with the special needs community, I didn't really understand the depth of my interaction really. It makes my life feel better. Just appreciates the fact that like everyone in the community, we're all trying to lead our lives to the best of our ability."
