  • Save Yourself And Your Family From the Hell Fire - Abu Humayd Saalim | Manchester
The title was derived from the verse:
“O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do that which they are commanded.” 66:6
Only a person with Imaan can save himself from the fire
What are the pillars of Imaan?
    1. Belief in Allah
    2. Belief in the Angels
    3. Belief in the heavenly books
    4. Belief in the Messengers of Allah
    5. Belief in the Last Day
    6. Belief in the Qadar
What is the definition of Imaan?
    - Belief in the Heart
    - Actions of the body
    - Speech on the tongue
We also need to know the things that can take away ones Imaan, they are many. It is not enough to say that we believe, we must also perform the actions, for example the five pillars of Islam.
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents.” 17:23
We should try to save ourselves and our families from the fire. It is not “cool” to listen to music or to smoke or take drugs. We should not do these things and avoid people that do.

  • 47 - Book of Tawheed - Sahih al-Bukhari - Abu Muadh Taqweem | Manchester
    Sahih al-Bukhari – The Book of Tawheed – Lesson 47 (17/03/18)
Sa'd bin 'Ubada said, "If I saw a man with my wife, I would strike him (behead him) with the blade of my sword." This news reached Allah's Apostle who then said, "You people are astonished at Sa'd's Ghira. By Allah, I have more Ghira than he, and Allah has more Ghira than I, and because of Allah's Ghira, He has made unlawful Shameful deeds and sins (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) done in open and in secret. And there is none who likes that the people should repent to Him and beg His pardon than Allah, and for this reason He sent the warners and the givers of good news. And there is none who likes to be praised more than Allah does, and for this reason, Allah promised to grant Paradise (to the doers of good)." 'Abdul Malik said, "No person has more Ghira than Allah."
The Prophet said to a man, "Have you got anything of the Qur'an?" The man said, "Yes, such-and-such Sura, and such-and-such Sura," naming the Suras.
New Chapter: The throne of Allaah and where is Allaah
    Today we covered:
    • The dangers of praising oneself
    • The meaning of ‘Ghira’
    • Do we ascribe Ghira to one of Allaahs attributes?

    • The meaning of ‘No person has more Ghira than Allaah.’
    • Can we refer to Allaah as thing?
    • Every name of Allaah has a meaning with absolute perfection
    • Can the word ‘Shay’ be used when referring to Allaah?
    • The root meaning of ‘istowa’
    o An open meaning
    o An enclosed meaning
    • Evidences that Allaah is not everywhere
