    • Anger is a natural trait placed in people for a benefit, but it must be kept to its proper place
    • The sensible believer controls his anger; the fool is driven by it to killing, harsh words or cutting ties
    • Allāh praised those who forgive when angered; the strong one is he who controls himself when angry
    • The Prophet ﷺ never took revenge for himself, but became angry for Allāh when His limits were violated

    • Ḥadīth 12: "From the excellence of a man's Islām is his abandonment of that which does not concern him"

    • Ḥadīth 40: "Be in the world as though you were a stranger or a traveller" – Be in the World as a Stranger
