The opening lecture of the 1st annual conference at Masjid Abi Hurairah. Lecture entitled "The Heart & Its Role In Rectifying Societies", delivered by Rayaan Barker.

This is the 10th lesson of the "Book of Knowledge" from Sahih Bukhari taught by Ustaadh Abu Humayd using the explanation of Shaykh Zayd al-Madhkalee.

We discussed:

- The obligation of the one with knowledge to teach in certain circumstances

- The one who is absent and hears about the hadith may have greater understanding than the one who heard it directly.

- The sanctity of the blood, honour and wealth of a Muslim

Ustaadh Abu Humayd reads the Arabic text line by line and translates this into English, aiding the students in strengthening their Arabic.

Sahih al-Bukhari – The Book of Tawheed – Lesson 98 (12/10/2019)

Narrated 'Aisha: The Verse:-- '(O Muhammad!) Neither say your prayer aloud nor say it in a low tone.' (17.110) was revealed in connection with the invocations.

Abu Huraira said, "Allah's Apostle said, 'Whoever does not recite Qur'an in a nice voice is not from us,' and others said extra," (that means) to recite it aloud."

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Not to wish to be the like of except the like of two men: a man whom Allah has given the Qur'an and he recites it during the hours of the night and the hours of the day, in which case one may say, "If I were given the same as this man has been given, I would do the same as he is doing.' The other is a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in the right way, in which case one may say, 'If I were given the same as he has been given, I would do the same as he is doing."

• The ayah that was revealed during the du’aa

• The meaning of salaah in Arabic

• The difference between the linguistic and Islamic meaning of a word

• The meaning of reading out loud during du’aa

• The reasons as to why an ayah was revealed

• What the mushrikoon used to say about the Prophet regarding their women

• Is the speech of the Qu’ran created or not?

• When a hadeeth mentions ‘He is not from us’ this states that this is a major sin.

• The conditions of the imam when leading the people in prayer

• Q&A session
