Attributes of the Slaves of the Most Merciful, taught by Ustādh Rayaan Barker (hafidhahullāh)

• Verse 73: when reminded of the signs of their Lord, they do not fall upon them deaf and blind

• Allāh did not specify who gives the reminder: they accept the truth because it is the truth, whoever brings it

• Pondering over the signs in creation, which point to the Creator, His greatness, mercy and wisdom

• The contrast with those who reject the signs and turn away as though deaf and blind

• When corrected, they return from their mistake rather than persisting in it, unlike some who only claim the Sunnah

Attributes of the Slaves of the Most Merciful, taught by Ustādh Rayaan Barker (hafidhahullāh)

• Verse 72: they do not witness falsehood (al-zūr), and when they pass by laghw they pass by with dignity

• Whoever sits and listens to falsehood is counted like its people in ruling, unless forced

• Laghw is everything that has no benefit in religion or dunyā

• Sitting with youth who engage in useless things in order to benefit them, and the fear of being overcome by them

• Raising children upon beneficial activities rather than leaving them on phones and tablets
