The wish and the will of Allaah – Part 1:

• There are 4 main parts to the Emaan of the decree

o The all-encompassing knowledge of Allaah

o Everything is written in the preserved tablet

 Allaah wrote down the decree 50,000 years before the creation

o The will of Allaah

o Allaah created all of creation

• Is the wish different to the will of Allaah

• Whatever Allaah wishes that is a must

• Whatever Allaah wishes then it will occur, whatever Allaah does not wish will not occur

• The wish of Allaah is general upon everything

• What is our actions and what is Allaah’s actions

• Our choices in life are under the wish of Allaah

• The wish of Allaah is inclusive over everything else

• The benefit of knowing the wish of Allaah

• The will of Allaah is of 2 categories

o The will of Allaah in the creational sense

o The will of Allaah in the legislative sense

• Does Allaah will for sins to occur

Allaah says in The Qur'aan in Surah Al-Layl [92], verses 1-10:

By the night as it envelops; And by the day as it appears in brightness; And by Him Who created male and female; Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes); As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, And believes in Al-Husna. We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. And gives the lie to Al-Husna; We will make smooth for him the path for evil;

• Allaah speaks and this is an attribute of Allaah

• Allaah will speak to Adam on the day of Judgment

• From every 1000, 999 will end up in the Hellfire

• Adam is spoken to with a voice

• The groups of innovation reject the speech of Allaah

o How did Musa speak and hear Allaah

o Muhammad ﷺ also spoke to Allaah

• As Ahlul sunnah we never ask “How” did Allaah speak, rather we affirm what is in the texts (Qu’ran and sunnah)

• The evidence as to why we don’t ask “how” and “why” when looking into evidences

• The level of astronomy at the time of the sahaabah was a lot stronger than what is known today

• The Qu’raan is not created, it is the speech of Allaah

• Say if the ocean was the ink for my Lord then the ocean would run out

• If the trees of the earth were pens and the oceans (8) were the ink, then the words of Allaah would not run out (not restricted)

• Indeed your lord Allaah created the heavens and the earth in six days.

• After Allaah created the heavens and the earth He rose above His throne.

• The day perfectly takes over the night and the night perfectly takes over from the day.

• The alternation of the night and the day is a sign of Allaah.

• How do you reply to the one who says give me evidence of a creator.

• The story of Imaam abu Hanifa when he debated with some atheists.

• The speech of Allaah is an attribute from the attributes of Allaah.

• The Qu’ran is the speech of Allaah, it is not created.

• Advice for the ones seeking knowledge.
