  • Khutbah: For All Shall Be Levels According To Their Deeds - Rayaan Barker | Stoke
Indeed we will depart from this dunya. We will depart and will be accountable before Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala.
In this khutbah Ustaadh gives a severe admonition as to what we will earn according to the degrees of our actions, our deeds and our speech. We will only receive from the bounty of Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala according to these deeds and actions. So we must hasten in this dunya to acquire good deeds, and perfecting those deeds.
Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala says regarding those that are obedient to Him: "They are in varying grades with Allaah, and Allaah is All-Seer of what they do." - Surah Ali 'Imran [3:163] - Al-Qur'aan

  • 53 - Book of Tawheed - Sahih al-Bukhari - Abu Muadh Taqweem | Manchester
    Sahih al-Bukhari – The Book of Tawheed – Lesson 53 (30/06/18)
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The Right (Hand) of Allah Is full, and (Its fullness) is not affected by the continuous spending night and day. Do you see what He has spent since He created the Heavens and the Earth? Yet all that has not decreased what is in His Right Hand. His Throne is over the water and in His other Hand is the Bounty or the Power to bring about death, and He raises some people and brings others down."
Narrated Anas: Zaid bin Haritha came to the Prophet complaining about his wife. The Prophet kept on saying (to him), "Be afraid of Allah and keep your wife." Aisha said, "If Allah's Apostle were to conceal anything (of the Quran he would have concealed this Verse." Zainab used to boast before the wives of the Prophet and used to say, "You were given in marriage by your families, while I was married (to the Prophet) by Allah from over seven Heavens." And Thabit recited, "The Verse:-- 'But (O Muhammad) you did hide in your heart that which Allah was about to make manifest, you did fear the people,' (33.37) was revealed in connection with Zainab and Zaid bin Haritha."
Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Verse of Al-Hijab (veiling of women) was revealed in connection with Zainab bint Jahsh. (On the day of her marriage with him) the Prophet gave a wedding banquet with bread and meat; and she used to boast before other wives of the Prophet and used to say, "Allah married me (to the Prophet in the Heavens.)"
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When Allah had finished His creation, He wrote over his Throne: 'My Mercy preceded My Anger.'

  • Khutbah: Recommended Fasts After Ramadhaan - Rayaan Barker | Stoke
Fasting does not end at the end of Ramadhaan. Allaah has legislated other fasts which we can engage in to still attain the benefits of fasting and to keep us in that state of discipline & mindfulness towards Allaah.
Allaah has blessed that we were in the month of Ramadhaan and He has blessed us that we have completed the month.
Righteous deeds and the worship of Allaah do not end with the end of Ramadhaan. They should continue after the month of Ramadhaan.
Fasting in the month of Ramadhaan brought so many benefits for us, taught us many lessons, patience, perseverance, self control, self discipline. These things we can carry on outside the blessed month.
Let us all safeguard what Ramadhaan taught us. Let us safeguard those benefits and let us safeguard that purification & cleansing that we attained during the blessed month.

  • 20 - Ramadhaan Reminders - Rayaan Barker | Stoke
A series of highly beneficial short lectures delivered at Masjid al-Furqan, Stoke, after the night prayer during Ramadhān 1439H/2018. Lectures by Ustaadh Rayaan Barker.
In this short lecture Ustaadh talks about the rulings and related issues regarding Zakaatul Fitr.
Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (Hafidhahullaah ta'aala) says:
"Know that indeed the Zakaatul Fitr, Allaah 'azza wajal has placed it at the end of the month of Ramadhaan. Therefore a person should ask Him to accept his efforts during the month of Ramadhaan and that He places that person from one of those who has been freed from the hellfire.
Indeed Allaah 'azza wajal has legislated more actions of worship at the end of Ramadhaan, which increase a person in nearness to Him. From them is the Zakaatul Fitr, which is a purification of the shortcomings for those who have fasted."
