In this reminder Ustaadh looks at some the of virtues of Laylatul Qadr.

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (Hafidhahullaah ta'aala) mentioned:

"Allaah 'azza wajal has placed virtues in the month of Ramadhaan and one of these great virtues is that He has placed in it Laylatul Qadr. The night which is better than a 1000 months"

In this reminder Ustaadh takes from a reminder by Sheikh Saalih ibn Al Uthaymeen regarding the virtues of the last 10 days of Ramadhaan.

The Sheikh says: "My brothers! Indeed you have entered into the last 10 days of Ramadhaan. And in it there is goodness and abundant reward. And in it there are virtues that are well known and it has distinguishing characteristics that have been mentioned."

In this lecture Ustaadh continues the series of lectures on The Principles in the Purification of the Soul.

The 4th principle is emulating and taking the example of The Prophet Sallalaahu 'alaihi wa salam i.e Taking him as the main role model in our lives.

"Indeed in the Messenger of Allaah (Muhammad Sallalaahu 'alaihi wa salam) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allaah and the Last Day and remembers Allaah much." - Surah Al-Ahzab [33:21] - Al-Qur'aan

In this lecture Ustaadh continues the series of lectures on The Principles in the Purification of the Soul and moves onto the 3rd principle.

Indeed The Noble Qur'aan is a great source for the purification of the soul.

"Indeed Allaah conferred a great favour on the believers when He sent among them a Messenger (Muhammad Sallalaahu 'alaihi wa salam) from among themselves, reciting unto them His Verses (the Qur'aan), and purifying them (from sins by their following him), and instructing them (in) the Book (the Qur'aan) and Al-Hikmah [the wisdom and the Sunnah of the Prophet Sallalaahu 'alaihi wa salam]" - Surah Ali 'Imran [3:164] - Al-Qur'aan

Allaah has favoured us and blessed us that we have reached the half way point of Ramadhaan.

For those who strive and have been striving since the beginning of Ramadhaan, continue to strive for indeed the promise of Allaah is Haqq. Stay upon that firmness till the end of Ramadhaan. Increase in good and righteous deeds for Ramadhaan has not ended yet.

For those who have been a bit lazy with the righteousness and the actions of obedience they could have done, likewise know that Ramadhaan has not ended yet. There is still time for you to rectify that which you need to rectify between you and your Lord.

In this lecture Ustaadh continues the series of lectures on The Principles in the Purification of the Soul.

The second principle is du'aa. Du'aa is the key to the purification of the hearts & souls. It is from the best forms of worship because in du'aa a person shows their great need for Allsah, their hearts are broken, they humble themselves, they turn to Allaah with the knowledge that He has the power and ability to help them. They realise how poor they are and how much Allaah has to give.

Du'aa has a great affect on the hearts & souls of a person, it opens the doors of goodness for a person. Allaah has promised to respond and answer those who turn to Him.

He says:

"And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). " - Surah Ghafir [40:60] - Al-Qur'an

Abu Idrees describes the reasons for marriage and the true intent behind it, according to the Qur'an and Sunnah.
