Vila Tugendhat je populárním cílem turistů v Brně v České republice.
Nachází se v jedné z nejbohatších brněnských čtvrtí Černých Polích.
Vila Tugendhat je dílem známého německého architekta Ludwiga Miese van der Rohe a je pokládána za jednu z průkopnických ikon funkcionalismu a modernismu.
Tato třípatrová historická budova byla postavena ze železobetonu v letech 1928 až 1930.
Je postavena na svahu a situována jihozápadním směrem.
Hlavní obývací prostory jsou umístěny ve druhém patře, které je ve skutečnosti přízemím.
Na patře je rovněž terasa, zimní zahrada a pokoje pro služebnictvo.
Ve třetím patře, které je ve skutečnosti prvním patrem, je umístěn hlavní vchod.
Průchod vede do vstupního prostoru, hlavních ložnic a na terasu.
Je zde také speciální byt pro řidiče vedle garáží.
Když byla Vila Tugendhat postavena, byl především kladen důraz na myšlenku „méně je více" a na praktické vybavení.
Návrh se vyhýbá použití podpůrných stěn a místo toho uspořádává interiéry pro maximalizaci světla a prostoru.
Architekt také navrhl pro tento dům speciální nábytek, včetně dvou specifických druhů židlí, které byly navrženy pouze pro Vilu Tugendhat.
Židle Brno a židle Tugendhat se vyrábí dodnes, takže kdokoliv chce jednu nebo obě vlastnit, může si je zakoupit.
Uvnitř budovy je také několik klasických kusů nábytku navržených Lillou Reich.

Villa Tugendhat is a popular tourist destination in Brno, Czech Republic.
It is located in Cerna Pole, one of Brno's wealthiest neighborhoods.
Created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, a well-known German architect, the structure is one of Europe's pioneering prototypes of functionalism and a modernism icon.
The historical building was constructed of reinforced concrete between 1928 and 1930, and it has three stories.
It sits on a slope and faces toward the southwest.
The main living areas are located on the second story, which is actually the ground floor.
There is also a terrace, conservatory, and servants' quarters located on the floor.
The third story of the structure, which is actually the first floor, is where the main entrance is located.
A passageway leads to the entrance area, the main bedrooms, and the terrace.
There is also a special flat for the chauffeur along with the home's garages.
When Villa Tugendhat was built, it was the first to use the idea that less is more and focus on functional amenities.
The design avoids the use of supporting walls, instead arranging the inside of the structure to maximize light and space.
The architect also designed special furnishings to go along with the home, including two specific kinds of chairs which were designed just for the Villa Tugendhat.
The Brno chair and the Tugendhat chair are both still in production today so that anyone who wants to own one or both of these chairs can actually purchase them.
A few classic pieces of furniture designed by Lilly Reich are also used inside the building.

Teplota je, jak je něco teplé nebo studené.
VODA V PEVNÉM SKUPENSTVÍ
Představte si déšť pršící z oblohy.
Déšť je voda v kapalném skupenství.
Co se stane, jestliže se příliš ochladí?
Správně - déšť zmrzne!
Když déšť zmrzne, změní se voda z kapalného skupenství na pevné.
Voda v pevném skupenství je led.
Led je tvrdý a má svůj vlastní tvar.
Sníh jsou drobné částečky ledu.
V některých pohořích jsou veliké kusy ledu zvané ledovce.
Rampouchy jsou jiným druhem ledu.
Co se stane s ledem, když se oteplí?
Led roztaje a stane se zase kapalinou.
VODA JAKO PLYN
Co se stane s vodou v kapalném stavu, když je teplota velmi vysoká?
Louže zmizí, když vyjde slunce.
Kam se poděje voda v kapalném stavu?
Energie ze slunce způsobí, že voda změní skupenství.
Voda se změní z kapalného na plynné skupenství.
Voda se vypaří do vzduchu.
Voda v plynném skupenství je vodní pára.
Vodní pára jsou malé částice vody ve vzduchu.
Vodní páru nemůžete vidět, můžete ji pouze cítit.
Vodní pára způsobuje dusno v horkých dnech.
Vodní pára se může změnit, když poklesne teplota.
Vodní pára kondenzuje a mění se ve vodu v kapalném skupenství.
Potom ji zase můžete vidět!

Rostliny a zvířata potřebují vodu.
Voda pomáhá všem tvorům na Zemi zůstat naživu.

WATER ALL AROUND
Look around you.
Water is everywhere.
Water falls from the sky and flows overland.
It goes into the ground and fills bodies of water.
WATER AS A LIQUID
Most of our planet is covered with water.
Water is in oceans, rivers, lakes, and ponds.
Water falls from clouds as rain.
All this water is in a liquid state.
Liquid water can flow from one place to another.
It takes the shape of whatever it is in.
TEMPERATURE
Water can change from a liquid state to other states.
Water changes from one state to another because of temperature.
Temperature is how hot or cold something is.
WATER AS A SOLID
Think about rain falling from the sky.
The rain is in a liquid state.
What happens if the weather gets very cold?
That’s right—the rain freezes!
When rain freezes, it changes from a liquid state to a solid state.
The solid state of water is ice.
Ice is hard, and it has its own shape.
Snow is tiny pieces of ice.
Some mountains have huge pieces of ice, called glaciers.
Icicles are another form of ice.
What happens to the ice if the weather gets warm?
The ice melts and becomes a liquid again!
WATER AS A GAS
What happens to liquid water when the temperature is very hot?
Puddles go away after the sun comes out.
Where does the liquid water go?
Energy from the sun causes the water to change state.
The water changes from a liquid state to a gas state.
The water evaporates, or goes into the air.
Water in a gas state is water vapor.
Water vapor is tiny bits of water in the air.
You can’t see water vapor, but you can feel it.
Water vapor makes hot days feel sticky.
Water vapor can change when the temperature gets lower.
The water vapor condenses and becomes liquid water.
Then you can see it again!
