Hello and welcome to the launch of the podcast. I’ve been working on creating a podcast since last year and it took a while to choose the courageous path and click “upload” on this episode, because I know that means I am definitely doing this every week. I know that I can get stuck in talking about a concept for a while, and sometimes those ideas don’t happen. They just sound really exciting! This is a concept I really wanted to commit to so I’ve been waiting to finish my master’s program in educational leadership so I would have a more open schedule to make this happen, especially at the start when it’s going to require more time.
Throughout this season I will be sharing insights, research, and finding guests to share ideas to hopefully give you an avenue to reflect on your experiences. While I will talk about educational experiences and there are certainly aspects that can apply to educators, I am aiming this audience at people who might feel they want to try new things out in their life to live more closely to the life they want. Maybe you are like me and struggle with focus and have struggled in the past with emotional regulation, or even emotional intelligence. Maybe you feel like there’s too much to do and don’t know how to get started. Maybe you feel self-critical every time you feel something that is unpleasant.
Well, on that last point… today’s episode is going to focus around the story of the two wolves and how this has been interpreted in so many ways. The way in which I interpret it aims to validate both wolves and connect with the skill of emotional intelligence. I hope you enjoy and find some application into your daily lives. I do not try to promote easy fixes, but want to share stories and connections. If you happen to resonate with them and take some learning from yourself then that is absolutely fantastic. Now… onto today’s episode!
