All the pieces we'll share in today's episode were provided by Poetry.org and were drafted out to go along with a lesson plan for middle and high schoolers about Pride, it's history, and some of the trials and tribulations that should be better known history. I think that makes today's episode especially fascinating and hopefully it sparks conversation among you, your friends, families and homes!

This episode is a start of the conversation that is PRIDE - June and I want to say that Pride is so much more than rainbows and parties. It's an understanding. It's a celebration. And it's also in mourning. So please enjoy these poems, these conversations and of course living as you live - curiously and artistically.

This epsiode of the learning to fly podcast contains poetry from "Mouthful of Forevers" by Clementine Von Radics and a review at the end of the episode as well. This stunning, stunning collection speaks to so many different life moments, to trauma, to accidents and violence, but also to the loneliness that comes from being forgotten or moved past in relationships.
