My friend Nina, from Season1 Episode 28, let me borrow her 11 year old daughter, Emma.  Emma enjoyed some hot chocolate while she discussed her love with New Testament fulfillment.

My sister, Kathy, came into town for Thanksgiving and stayed with me- so I convinced her to record with me.  

She basically raised me and so sometimes I send her a card on Mother's Day.  She is married to an Ex Soldier and has three kids.  She is also a pediatric RN that has made a career switch to work as an RN in a prison clinic.

My friend's spunky daughter, Talia, joins me for Lectio Divina on the last Sunday of the liturgical year!  It's almost Advent folks!

We drink warm cups of tea on a lovely fall day- and steep ourselves in John 18.  All while Alice is playing in the fabric scraps box and Tuna, the lab puppy, is curled up in the corner.

Jedidiah is my 4th son- my 7th child.  He had trisomy18 and lived for 13 days.  His birthday is November 5th so in remembrance of him, I share a little bit of what it was like to be his mama.  

It's rather lengthy- around 22 minutes.  So if you are anxious to get your Lectio done and only have 30 minutes then you can jump straight to it.

We discuss the widow's mite passage and also a little jab that Jesus takes to the scribes and pharisees- how does that play out in our lives- the balance of outward appearance and inner motivation.

The passage challenged us and we took it to prayer, asking God to let us move out into the world and be His kind of successful- and not the world's kind of successful.

Bartimeas Receives His Sight!  And I do Lectio Divina of that passage with my son's girlfriend, Carson.  She grew up Presbyterian and is currently moving through the steps at Full Circle.

We discuss humility and how much that can have an influence on how much we trust.  

My nephew Kolbe stopped by the house to record this one with me.  He is no stranger to audio tech and microphones.  I would call him my IT man with regard to all things audio tech.  He is a musician- you can find him on Spotify- Drive Thru Pasta.  

This week we discuss what faith is- how it works and the many different spots we've been at on our faith journey.  Kolbe is currently in a "deconstruction/discovery" point in his journey.  And I'm so glad he wanted to sit down and do Lectio Divina with us.

Well, Tuna is in the studio with me.  He's my 3 month old lab puppy, who is recovering from femur surgery.  I tell the story of how he fell out of the truck and broke his leg.

He's recovering quickly, as puppies will.
