Waiting is difficult. Sometimes we are waiting and we don't even know what we are waiting for. This week we will be talking about the waiting of Boaz and Ruth as we continue our sermon series on Ruth.

The story of Ruth and Boaz has many facets; one of those facets is kindness. When we are kind to one another we are displaying one of the characteristics of God.

What weight do your decisions have in your life? Your decisions can have an impact on the rest of your life! We begin a series this week on the Book of Ruth.

It doesn't matter what our circumstances are, it doesn't matter what our preferences are; God is in control! Listen as we talk about who is on the throne in our lives.

Sometimes we tend to look at things as idols when we don't even realize it. Sometimes we put our trust in things that aren't God. This week we will be talking about how money, or greed can become an unexpected idol in our life.

Sometimes idols in our lives can be things that are good. Actually, most idols in our lives ARE good until they take the place of God. Sometimes, an eagerness for love in our lives can distort the gift that God has given us in love. Listen as we talk about what happens when love becomes an idol.

What are idols? Are they little figurines we get on our knees to? Are they an ideal? Are idols people? We will explore what idols are today in this new series called Counterfeit Gods.

After everything Paul has gone through, remembering his imprisonment, his difficulties his situation, we find Paul telling the Philippians that he is content. Content! How could this possibly be? The truth is that we can share in this contentment also when we understand that God is in control and that we can trust in Him.

What are you thinking? Do you know that what you think can shape your outlook, even your life? Paul instructs the followers of Christ to think about things that are profitable to us. Not only do we think but we also have a job to do which result from our thoughts.

The world is full of trouble, that trouble is real, but we have a God who guards our hearts and helps us through faith, which gives us a peace and an outward gentleness that (from the world's point of view) doesn't make sense, but in light of Jesus' victory it brings us joy.
