Jesus’s instruction to his disciples about prayer has serious implications on how we are to set our minds on the things of Christ. This New Year’s message focuses on Joshua 4, where the Israelites cross the Jordan River into the promised land and set up twelve memorial stones. We will look back to remember God’s faithfulness in 2022, and we look forward to consider how we can trust him this coming year.

Jesus Christ has been born! He is the fulfillment of the promises of God to his children and the world. Simeon’s prophecy about Jesus shows us how Jesus came to bring light into our darkness.

There is good in this world and it’s worth fighting for. God’s promises of salvation are always fulfilled, and people who are faithful to him can partake in these promises. Can you recognize Jesus as the salvation of the world?
