It's easy to say that without our guest, there would be no Legacy Trek, because your hosts would not have existed. In this episode, we talk to Mike's dad and Emilie's granddad, Stephen Bovia. He's attended a couple of conventions with us recently and we get his thoughts and his Star Trek backstory, as well as how he feels about having a 3rd generation fan in the family now.

The Animated Series takes a lot of heat for stories that aren't always the strongest. However, Yesteryear is not one of those episodes. Mike and Emilie discuss how this episode has almost singlehandedly kept TAS in the "canon" conversation for years and some curious calls on how those Vulcan kids' wardrobe was drawn.

Since 1964, when we saw the original captain of the USS Enterprise, fans have wanted to know more about Christopher Pike. With season 2 of Discovery, we got just that. Mike and Emilie discuss a character who has quickly become a fan favorite now that there is more of him on screen and some of his best moments as captain.

Mike and Emilie are joined by the 23 Year Old Trekkie, Aly Martinez to discuss the career of Nichelle Nichols and her contributions to Star Trek. Fans still continue to flock to conventions to see Nichelle, even in this, her last year on the convention circuit. Uhura showed she was more than just an operator as her character grew over the course of 25 years on screen. Listen as we talk about all of these things and more!

You all know the words, sing along! Allamaraine, 3rd shap. Emilie loves "Move Along Home", so since she's the star of the show, we do what she wants. Mike finds that he does have more likes than dislikes of the episode... but still chooses to not watch it if he doesn't have to.

1964: Uniforms were dull colors and made from crushed velvet. Transporter chiefs wore glasses and Vulcans did smile. "The Cage" is the initial showing for the Starship Enterprise, but it's under the command of Captain Pike. Mike and Emilie talk about this episode and how good of a start it was for an historic franchise.
