Episode 159 is with Deja from Krime Time Magazine and podcast. It was the first graffiti podcast and a strong graffiti magazine in the 90s. He’s also a successful entrepreneur. Afex is a veteran style writer from Calgary Canada. He’s a father and husband who’s made a strong drive to be physically fit the last few years. Learn hails from California but has resided in Portland Maine for the last few decades. He’s the founder and head of YME. Sober and also a father plus an avid runner. King Kair IYA is a Philly Legend who resides down south. The last few years he’s had a resurgence with his graffiti on trains. Father, husband and very career driven. I can’t thank you gentlemen enough for being on this episode.

The guests are @biafrainc graffiti and street artist from Wisconsin but has lived in Minnesota fro a while.

@jacobs_lader Josh Shaw retired writer, entrepreneur, and podcast host.

@capmatchescolor two of the guys from the book and project Cap Matches Color.

Seimer UTL younger writer really killing it right now.

My friend Ernie a retired writer and entrepreneur.

This episode was a huge struggle for me. I had the beginning stages of covid and it really wore me down. I’m recovered now but I’m still having a tough time getting my energy level back. There won’t be a new episode for the month of December while I get back to normal. We will be releasing 3-4 of the old episodes though so watch for that. Thanks to the guests for being on this episode it was a lot of fun and a real good time all things considered. Thanks Josh Sebek for editing out all the coughing and as much of the sound issues with background noise from one of the clients home life situations. Also thanks to Erik for uploading the file and doing all the website stuff in the back ground. Hope you all enjoy the episode. See you in January with a new episode and 4-5 guests.

Episode 64 “Health Effects” from the LT archive. This was the Health Effects episode. One of the most important episodes we put together. If you are having issues related to painting you should contact a doctor first and foremost, but hopefully this can help with preventative stuff and just being mindful on protecting yourself from the toxicity of paint. We’re also going to try and release the @bigmiles420 episode soon. It has a bunch of good info about the harmful effects of paint. Thanks to everyone who’s been supporting the podcast without you we wouldn’t be able to upload these older episodes. Thanks to @josh_sebek for edited and remastered it and Erik for uploading it and maintaining the server.

How important is it to be a well rounded writer and how does small town or big city atmospheres play into the ability to get up and build a name within the culture and what can you do to remain relevant within your area?

Here’s a quick small run down on the guests (more info can be found on each person through this week’s LT IG posts).

Daze TN is from Alabama and his career is art based. He lives on a farm with his family and harvests a lot of his own food. In his spare time he works on a lot of anti police brutality issues.

Sheva is from Minneapolis and one of my favorite writers from here. I’ve known her for a few years and she’s badass. Quality art and a quality person. Her straight job has a lot to do with nutrition.

Bora is a documentarian who’s lived and benched in multiple cities. Currently based in Louisiana. He also has amassed an amazing graffiti art collection. Which he has showed in full or part at different spots around the nation.

Sug TVC NG RTD has been painting for 3 decades. Lives in the Albuquerque area. His contributions to this art form are super solid and his contributions to his local community are also admirable.

Army TSR AFD is a writer from Detroit. He’s been painting there for a long time. While I was traveling there regularly he had tons of pieces on the street. He was also the first guest on the LT podcast years ago. Super great guy and good insight.

Nick from Benchmasters One @benchermasters.one He’s a documentarian from the New England Area, has published multiple books and magazines. Also an executive producer of the YME film. He’s got some good merch and stuff on his website, so swoop some up. His new magazines are badass Benchmasters One Website/

Zone WST @zone1wst a veteran in graffiti and the service. Still putting in plenty of work. He’s taking on commissions to do woodcuts with pieces on them. I have one and would strongly suggest grabbing one.

Marcher Arrant @marcher.arrant moniker artist, hails from Ohio originally. Moniker/graffiti artist. World traveler/hobo life/walked and mapped all the city streets in Paris and Barcelona. He has walked the planet literally.

KUB @_sir_kub_ co-host of the podcast The Graffiti Machine with Bus MSK. They focus on personal self improvement and a great positive contribution to the culture. Based around the LA area.

@shanehuss @mindfulrelease younger writer/calligrapher from Minnesota but lives in Colorado. Environmentalist, plants trees through calligraphy, and lover of lettering.

As my city of residence is burning from civil unrest it’s not the best day to drop a podcast. I push this out with a heavy heart, so please bear with me and the lateness. Besides the current events I’m very happy and optimistic about where the LT podcast is headed. We have adopted a round table format. This episode is with Pen One, Naku, and Bus 166. All accomplished writers in their own right. We discuss three topics and do a close. There was suppose to be a forth writer but that……fell through. The 3 topics are What’s the place and your view point on digital graffiti in our culture? Personal feelings on writers concealing or not concealing their face or identity? Your best food experience on a graffiti trip? Basically 2 serious topics and one that’s a little more light weight. Hope you enjoy this.
