Richard sits down on his virtual toadstool to talk with writer and filmmaker Dan Wilder. They get sexy but don’t talk about “making the sex act”. Instead they cover a wide range of topics including their twin obsessions of cross-fit and fast cars. Please note the ingredients.

Midway through week one and we land on one of my personal favorites, Silver Bullet! This has everything. One of the Coreys, a werewolf, Ed from Twin Peaks, the old guy from Reservoir Dogs, fireworks, and more! This is a terrific addition o your Halloween list if you happen to be a specific audience. Namely, me. I think you can hear my enthusiasm for this one, and I hope you catch some of that excitement!

A snake-like parasite crawls into the uterus of an abused woman and circus performer named Yanka. The parasite demands human blood from Yanka who is first reluctant, but then finds that the only relationship that she has is with the parasite. Yanka commits murders to devour the victims’ blood in order to nurture the parasite. The parasite tells her that it is a creature that will replace man as the dominant species on the planet in five million years, and must be released in the ocean. Day 3 is here and we have our first guest curator of the 31 Days of Howling Beast. Jeffery X Martin has been tasked to cover The Beast That Killed Women. Not much of a plot here. There’s a gorilla who’s attacking young nudists in Florida. Police are baffled, tops are non existent…….you get the gist. This is just the first of many guests on this run but this one is pretty great.

Welcome to Day 3 of the 31 Days of Halloween here on Legion Podcasts, and, boy oh boy, do we have a great one today. It’s The Howling, one of the truly great werewolf movies of cinema history. We’re going to talk some Joe Dante, Dick Miller, Dee Wallace, the effects work (and why Rick Baker didn’t do it), as well as some of the social commentary in the film. This is a fun movie and (I think) a fun look at it!

Hope you enjoy this, and come back each and every day for a new movie. Also, join the discussion on our Facebook group, Twitter, or Instagram.

Day two tells the tale of greed, desire and murderous monsters yearning for fame and blood. That’s what you get with Beast Mode. When an actor is severely injured, they find a double to replace him. Almost. This kid has some scars to clear up and with the help of a miracle cure, it does and with severe consequences. This cream brings out the worst in it’s user with monstrous and murderous results.
