    On this episode of Music & Lunch , host Sean Le Marque chats with Steezy Lavish. He was born in 1997 at the Saint Augustine Hospital, Durban. The home of the Nasty C, Blackie and many more influential Hip Hop artists. Record Producer & audio engineer Andile Madondo is known for hard hitting drums, 808s and soothing melodies.


    Madonda started making beats in 2016 under the moniker Steezy Lavish. Since then he has released a number of projects such as the Power EP (2020), Menace Attack (2021) and Sticks and Stones (2021) just to name a few, along with MASSIVE singles. His recent project Ruled By Venus EP features some of the most talented artists and will be available on all digital music platforms.

    On this episode of Music & Lunch , host Sean Le Marque chats with musician Brandon Dhludhlu.

    He is a former Idols South Africa contestants and Zama Khumalo who won the competition have formally consummated their romantic relationship in song on ‘Ngimtholile’. On the R&B-influenced Afropop number, the vocalists take turns singing about how they’ve found “the one”.

    On his verse, Brandon talks about knowing she was the one from the time they were kids, and that nothing’s changed since. On her verse, Zama, who was the overall winner of the Idols SA competition, recalls the sweet things Brandon’s done to capture her attention.

    On this episode of Music & Lunch , host Sean Le Marque chats with the group Young Mbazo. It was formed in 2009 by Babuyile Shabalala – the son of Ladysmith Black Mambazo member Msizi Shabalala, who is the son of the late Ladysmith Black Mambazo founder Joseph Shabalala.

    Babuyile approached his cousins about starting a contemporary version of indigenous a capella music. They pride themselves on their taste for hip-hop, R&B, jazz and soul influences, while still maintaining their isicathamiya essence. Naturally, the younger group feels that it has to live up to the standards and expectations that people will have because of their link to Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

    He seeks to musically advance the diversity of South Africa by exploring his voice in different musical genres, whether hip hop, gospel, trap or afro-pop. Inspired by legends and icons ranging from Hugh Masekela, Brenda Fassie, and Lebo Mathosa. ZanoThando aims to have the type of catalogue with range and diverse sonics left behind by these legends. 

    His latest release “Isela” is a mid-tempo afro-pop single. Sparse in arrangement, the production is underwritten by synthesised strings and hi hats. The single’s focus is the lyrical content of the single which details the longing by ZanoThando for the one who got away with his heart.
