LEMARQUE

On this episode of Music & Lunch, host Sean Le Marque chats with the dynamic duo Vetkuk vs Mahoota. They have entrenched their names in the local dance scene. The collaboration between Jonathan Mbuyisa and Zynne Sibika has proved to be one of music's most enduring partnership that has garnered them critical acclaim and commercial success dating back to 2001.

The last time they released was in 2012 but they have managed to still have gigs every weekend of the year. Mahoota says the secret lies in cultivating good relations. Brace yourself for a wave of new sounds and influences as the duo reinvent themselves to keep the momentum going. Local Everywhere, their sixth album has not strayed from their winning formula as they capitalize on their versatility and ensure the demand for Vetkuk vs Mahoota does not wane.

Vetkuk Vs Mahoota make a comeback with another amazing amapiano tune, featuring new talent Beekay, Nicole Elocin of ‘Bela Ciao’ hit track, and energetic rapper from the South of Johannesburg, Kevi Kev.

Speaking about the single this is what the duo had to say “With our current situation in our country. We’ve been on lockdown for the longest time, and it has prevented people from going out to have a nice time. This song is a party anthem about being young and wanting to go have a good time. It’s a must have banger for this spring”.
