Some grandmaster chess players can see 10-15 moves ahead during a chess match. For most, seeing what’s right in front of us is difficult enough.

By the end of his life in Genesis 50, Joseph came to one final conclusion regarding the mistreatment of his brothers, “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.”

Joseph knew he didn’t have the final say when others do wrong. God does. While it may be difficult to see beyond what’s in front of us, God is always doing something far more glorious in our midst than we could ever understand or imagine.

One thing is certain, every person on the planet will come to a point in life when they breathe their last breath. Will you be ready when that time comes? Are people around you going to feel the ripple impact of Jesus from your life? We don’t know much about the final years of Jacob’s life, but we do know by the response of the Egyptians in his death, he left a mark during those 17 years.

Do you believe that spiritual warfare is real? This week we look to the Bible which confirms it is real, and Psalms chapter two helps us understand why there is so much chaos and conflict in our world today. It reminds us that no matter what attempts people make to “dethrone” God, none of it is of any concern to Him. David’s message is both insightful and encouraging. It reminds us that God and His people win in the end.

What legacy will your choices in life leave for future family and future generations? This weekend Pastor Chad will be teaching from Genesis 49 where Jacob blesses and prophecies over his sons.
