Jesus describes the Laodicean church (in Revelation 3) as wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. In short, they were self-righteous, self-serving, and self-satisified. Therefore, Jesus says, since they were lukewarm, He was going to vomit them out of His mouth.
