Boyanza is thrilled to present the latest musical offering from Tommaso Conforti, who once again showcases his dexterous and multifaceted talents across four tracks of house-laden brilliance.

Originally hailing from Florence, Italy, Conforti has made Chicago his home for almost a decade. The birthplace of house music has embraced him as much as he has embraced it, establishing himself as a key figure in the city’s underground scene. His passion for music was ignited during his formative years, listening to his parents’ collection of 45s, and has deepened through his respect and love for Chicago’s musical heritage. As a DJ, his approach—seamlessly blending old-school rarities with cutting-edge contemporary productions—has earned him admiration from some of Chicago’s pioneering artists. Acting as a bridge between eras, Conforti’s productions mirror this ethos, merging classic motifs with forward-thinking elements that make his sound both familiar and refreshingly innovative. Each track on this release embodies a harmonious balance between diversity and cohesion, weaving rich narratives alongside compelling rhythms and melodies.

Conforti has also expanded his musical universe by co-founding Elevator Music, a platform dedicated to reshaping the boundaries of dance music while fostering meaningful, long-term connections within its community.

Affettati Misti

On the B-side, the first of two versions of Affettati Misti emerges. Written & Produced in the mountains of Italy with Logan Aspin, the track draws inspiration from excerpts of an old Italian film, humorously juxtaposing cold cuts with political parties. This playful yet thought-provoking narrative is set against deep-hued pads that evoke the misty mountain atmosphere. As the driving bassline and lively keys enter, the track shifts into an uplifting, dynamic experience, culminating in a euphoric final third.

If you’re searching for house music that grooves, uplifts, and surprises, look no further. Conforti’s ability to bridge the layers of house music with a keen sense of narrative makes this EP a standout. From the emotive to the rhythmically captivating, this release is set to soundtrack countless nights on the dance floor.

Berlin's youANDme teams up once again with Namibian vocalist and poet Black Soda for 'Believe' - a stunning, dub-infused deep house tune that immediately caught our attention. The original features a crisp groove work, underpinned by a pulsating bass and overlaid with warm synth textures and melodies that blend perfectly with Black Soda's otherworldly vocal performance - all tailored into an arrangement that's sure to satisfy dancers and home listeners alike. The originals are backed up by a stripped-down Dub that’s unmistakably made for the dancefloor, and the beatless Sea Of Strings mix for ambient listening pleasure. And as if that wasn't enough, the package is rounded off with some brilliant remix work. Rising South African DJ and producer Jackson Brainwave stick to the original vocal arrangement while masterfully transforming the tune into his signature Afro-House and 3-step style. Last but not least, Moodorama delivers the goods with a classic US-inspired dub house workout reminiscent of some great offerings from Ron Trent's Future Vision imprint - but with a modern twist. Enjoy!

Terawax - Full Moon LP

Full Moon LP is a culmination of a year-long creative process by Ukrainian producer, audio engineer, and DJ Hlib, also known as Terawax. Scheduled for release on January 29, 2025, via Kyiv’s electronic label Polygon, the album opens with electro tracks laced with acid TD-3 sequences, gradually blending in classic breakbeat and garage-inspired elements, and concludes with a jungle composition. The release also features 2 remixes from Recid and Dagga.

Mar De Novo delivers another compelling record with their Daje EP; a six-track EP that effortlessly taps into the nostalgic pulse of Italo Disco while imbuing the label with what it is known for. As one of Vinyl Only's stable producers, Mar De Novo continue to carve a distinct niche with this release, combining warmth with a nuanced modernity. Spanning groovy, dancefloor-oriented moments and introspective - if a little twisted, and sometimes chilled in its vibe - Daje EP honours the enduring influence this sound has on the music scene, whilst pushing it forwards.

In this EP the analogue synths are quirky and playful, working atop a bed of funky, stuttering beats, with a real depth to the ideas in the arrangement - a characteristic Mar De Novo has mastered. The synths bubble up in unpredictable places, yet never feeling out of control. There is a really human edge to this record and that shows in the best way.

From the twisted funk workout of Instant Humidity and classic soulful vocal edge of Call Me, to the strobe-lit Italo arpeggios of Progression and plunging basslines and cosmic keys of Get A Way that add a layer of spacey psychedelia to the mix. This record is home to a panoply of related ideas. Often feeling like a call-back to the golden era of late '70s disco, but with enough modernity to make it so relevant to today's crate-diggers. Imagine, feel-good moments, both on and off the dancefloor.

Mar De Novo's ability to straddle the line between homage and innovation is the whole theme with their music. Blending vintage sound, equipment and influences with an artistic vision that's somehow retro yet very forward-facing. The appeal of this EP stretches beyond purists—there’s something for anyone with a head and appreciates soulful, analogue-driven music from the heart.
