Grief is a normal response to loss that each person experiences and expresses differently. No matter the reaction, grieving requires the support of others and the opportunity to mourn loss. This creates obstacles especially for Black men as we often neglect the process and normalize our experiences with grief. The Crew discusses the untimely death of a Friend, their personal experiences with loss, and the healing process.

With the controversial comments made by 50 cent this week, the crew discusses the “cancel culture.” They dive into why it’s easy for the culture to cancel certain individuals and continue to support others despite their several transgressions. They also discuss what responsibilities companies have to the black community when it comes to being culturally sensitive.

The history of black suffrage in the United States, or the right of Black Americans to vote in elections, has had many challenges. The enactment of the Fifteenth Amendment in 1870 extended the right to vote to Black men. Black women would not vote until the passage of the 19th amendment in 1920. However, these constitutional amendments did not always translate into the ability to vote. As the National Election quickly approaches the Less of a Man crew comes together to discuss voting history and trends, party alignment, the Presidential Debate, national policy and the importance of casting your vote.

Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman and emergency medical technician, was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police officers, executing a search warrant in connection to an ongoing drug investigation. Recently, one of three police officers involved was indicted on three counts of wanton endangerment, but not Breonna’s death. As riots and protest ignite across the United States in retaliation, the Crew recounts the facts in the Breonna Taylor case, discusses the laws and execution of search warrants, and state of the Black Community regarding Criminal Justice Reform.
