Do you remember the kind of prayers you prayed as a kid? Aren’t you glad most of those weren’t answered? As adults, we’re usually glad that prayers we pray now aren’t answered exactly how we had hoped they would be. As Pastor Mark continues his teaching on the Lord’s Prayer, we will gain insight about how we should pray. He will be emphasizing that what matters for us is our attitude towards God when praying and that our primary desire is for God’s will to be done. Even though it’s difficult, we need to put aside our own expectations and allow God to work His will in our lives.

Happily for us, we serve a God Who has given us the power through His Holy Spirit to successfully navigate this life. and as Pastor Mark will be reminding us, we serve a forgiving Father Who is always ready to pick us back up when we fall. And if we aren’t currently walking with Him, he’s waiting for us to turn back to Him. His grace is always there, ready to be lavished on us at all times.

Pastor Mark will be teaching on that aspect of what’s commonly called “The Lord’s Prayer”, and what the implications are of serving under a pure and holy King. This will, hopefully, give us a better viewpoint of kingship and sovereignty, and help us trust God the Father a little more and better.

Pastor Mark will be addressing our need to have the right attitude toward our relationship with God. It’s so easy to get into a routine of Bible reading and church attendance and activities that we forget why we do them, and for Whom we’re supposed to be doing them. We will be encouraged to take an honest look at our spiritual condition and to ask God to help us to get realigned back with Him if it’s necessary for us to do so.
